Photos of Egyptian pyramides covered with snow shocked the Internet. It was announced that for the first time in 122 years Cairo saw anomalous temperature reduction and snow! How can it be? The answer is below!
Photos of pyramids in snow appeared in Twitter. Due to one of the photos, posted by Michael Notem, at least 3 ancient pyramids and the desert nearby was covered with snow, which is unusual for sandy landscape even in winter months in Egypt.
But later it became known that photos are fake and they were done with the help of Photoshop.
The Great Sphinx is situated in Giza, 15 kilometeres away from Cairo. It is supposed to be covered with snow also, but there were only few vague photos of the famous sight.
This photo became very popular in Internet, but later it was known that it was just 80-cm Sphinxe`s copy in Japanese Theme Park Tobu World Square.
It`s hard to imagine that this Sphinx can be thouhgt to be real, but it was seen on many sites with news about snow in Egypt.
May be there was no snow at all?.....
In Egypt, where is always sunny weather, it can be raining in winter. Usually it happens 3-4 times a yaer. But such low temperature can be compared with natural disaster. There was a warning from the main meterological center in Egypt for villagers not to leave their homes without absolute necessity.
The desert is covered with snow, it`s raining heavily in egyptian`s capital. The situation is worsened by cold catchy wind with speed 30 meters per second. One man has died because of hypothermia. But it still remains unclear for what reason these photos were created if all the facts conforms to the reality…
