A nuclear engineer from Texas made an unforgettable proposal to his girlfriend as the couple scuba-dived surrounded by sharks.
Michael Benson used an underwater camera to capture the moment he proposed to girlfriend Ana Rawls during a trip in Mexico's Playa Del Carmen.
When the couple were surrounded by bull sharks Mr Benson held up a whiteboard with the words 'Ana will you marry me?' written on it.

The film, which was posted on YouTube, shows the couple and a group of divers swimming through the sea in December.
As the sharks appear out of the gloom and circle the group, Mr Benson can be seen reaching across to his girlfriend and handing her the whiteboard.

At first Miss Rawls dropped the board as she held both hands up to make the 'OK' dive signal. She then grabbed the board and wrote 'Yes', before handing it back.
The other divers helped them celebrate on the bottom of the sea, shaking hands and waving their arms in excitement.
It took months to arrange the proposal, Mr Benson told Yahoo News!. He explained that he didn't bring the engagement ring on the dive trip because he was scared the flashy diamond would attract the sharks.

The couple learned to dive in Texas before their vacation but Mr Benson said it took a couple of open water trips before he could pluck up the courage to go in with sharks - and propose.
'All I could think about was floating with my feet dangling in the water with sharks circling below. I most certainly did this in the name of love,' he said.
He added that although he preferred dolphins, Miss Rawls has wanted to get up close to sharks.
The couple plan to have their wedding in March.
