When Alyssa Brown visited Snow White's wishing well at California's Disneyland theme park, the 4-year-old never dreamed her wish to be reunited with her father, a Marine serving in Afghanistan, would instantly come true.
The magical moment was recently captured on camera by Alyssa's mother showing the little girl skipping to the well with the Disney princess before they both shared her heart-warming wish.
'I wish with all my heart that my daddy would come home,' she says while covering both her eyes over the well's edge.
With that, the little girl opened her eyes to see her father, Marine Lt Scott Brown, down on one knee before her.
'Hi baby,' he tells her before she darts into his open arms.
'Liz has had a very hard time with her father being gone, she's a daddy's girl,' her mother later told KTLA of their difficulty.
'I give him a big hug,' Alyssa says while recounting the experience.
Since her father's deployment, Alyssa and her 14-month-old brother Liam have held a 'daddy doll' that shows his picture on it as a means to comfort them while he's away.
Still, a daddy doll doesn't come close to replacing the real thing. That was a reality faced by the father with his son's hesitant reaction toward first seeing him.
'He was only seven months old when I left and he's only seen pictures of me and daddy doll,' Lt Brown told KTLA.
Grasping the success of such a magical well, Alyssa tells her parents she already has her next wish ready.
'"My next wish is for a puppy!"' her mother says of her daughter's wish. 'No, we've got a brother instead.'
Lt Brown will eventually have to return oversees but in the meantime they're enjoying just the first chapters of their happily-ever after.
