Have you ever heard of painting a portrait with shredded poems?
English artist Jamie Poole creates large-scale portraits in a truly unique way. Instead of dipping his brush into paint, the artist shreds books of poetry and novels full of text.
He takes the slivers of paper he's so carefully dissected and pieces each strip together on his canvas. Every "painting" in the artist's portfolio is related to the text it's made up of.
This particular piece, a self-portrait, is composed of the love letters and poems the artist's fiancé wrote him over the course of two years.
