Surely you've heard of The Playboy Mansion, but would you live there? Now's your chance -- but there is one very big catch. Namely, it's that the new owner would have to grant Hefner a life estate, which means he'd be allowed to live in the mansion until he dies. That's a perverted, aging roommate signing bonus.
Realtors seem to think the history of the estate is enough to justify the crazy price, but without all the parties and debauchery included, it seems like just another Beverly Hills house.
This 21,987-square-foot property boasts 22 bedrooms and sits on a 6-acre lot. But what does it cost?
TMZ reports you can now experience it for yourself, to the tune of $200 million. That's a hell of a profit for Hef, considering he acquired the estate in the 70s for just $1 million. So, aside from the absurd asking price (for a reportedly deteriorating mansion), there's a built-in roommate clause that might be tough for some to swallow.
Basically, anybody willing to buy the Playboy Mansion also has to be willing to run a private nursing home, with a geriatric Hefner waddling around the house in a robe (potentially letting it all hang out) and smoking a pipe.
