But the famously flamboyant artist was also something of a culinary connoisseur, and in 1973 he even released his own cookbook called Les Diners de Gala. It was only printed once, and only around 400 copies are thought to remain, but thanks to Taschen, you too can now own a copy for the first time in over 40 years.

David Shelldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) took him to an elephant orphanage in Kenya where he could heal until he was ready to go back to the wild. Little did the rescuers know that even though there were plenty of elephants at the shelter, Jotto will become BFF with… an ostrich named Pea!

Polish charity “Karmimy Psiaki” (literally: We feed dogs) launched a social campaign named “11. You shall not abandon your pet”. Few Polish celebrities engaged in the project, being depicted as abandoned dogs – tied to a tree, dumped from a speeding car, buried alive. Authors hope these controversial materials will stop many people from hurting their pets.

After getting a new and bigger apartment a while back, Thomas Krahn needed something to hang on the large, white walls. Being a student he didn’t have the money to buy the art he liked. Instead, he bought a canvas, paint and tried painting something himself.
The doodles from his elementary school notebooks featuring huge, flying fruit, astronauts and weird orbs quickly found their way back into his art alongside his love for the Danish countryside.
