Although exotic animals are illegal the laws aren't adequate enough for the government to interfere most of the times, and people find ways to acquire them! This is a big issue, and is very unethical and cruel. These animals aren't meant to be confined, they are unpredictable and they are a danger to the owners and anyone else around them. Too often irresponsible, selfish people buy them impulsively and then get rid of them by either killing or giving them up to animal control where they might get euthanized or live the rest of their lives in a small cage! Anyway, this is Here's a list of popular exotic pets. Gorgeous or adorable as they might be, lets leave these beasts in the wild.
Capibara. Largest rodent in the world.
Capuchin Monkey. The woman has some kid issue...
Degu. (Like a more wild Chinchilla)
Arctic Fox (or any other foxes for that matter).
European Polecats. They're like ferrets, which are illegal in many states including CA.
Genet. They're related to mongooses.
Kinkajou, also known as 'honey bear'.
Serval. (Medium sized African wild cat)
Skunks. That's one fat skunk!
Slow Lorises. Belong to the monkey family, but look more like lemurs.
Puma (mountain lion). Probably saving him for dinner...
Sugar Gliders. (Arboreal marsupials) Poor thing.
Alligator. Aw just cuddling with her pet gator.
Wolverine. Amazing animal, but this is not a good idea.
Lions (among other big cats). Gorgeous animal, but that's definitely not the place for him.
And of course the Wolf-Dog Hybrid. They are irresponsibly owned all over U.S.
