Although exotic animals are illegal the laws aren't adequate enough for the government to interfere most of the times, and people find ways to acquire them! This is a big issue, and is very unethical and cruel. These animals aren't meant to be confined, they are unpredictable and they are a danger to the owners and anyone else around them. Too often irresponsible, selfish people buy them impulsively and then get rid of them by either killing or giving them up to animal control where they might get euthanized or live the rest of their lives in a small cage!
