Use a pastry brush to get the apples nice and coated.
Be generous with the lemon juice - it's a nice flavor and you want to coat the apple as much as possible .
In a medium saucepan
combine 1/2 cup water with an envelope of hot chocolate mix, and whisk until the cocoa dissolves.
After it has soaked a few minutes, heat the mixture over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally
until it just reaches a gentle simmer — this is to ensure gelatin is fully dissolved.
Then add 1 cup vodka (or bourbon).
I would go with bourbon. Also, Kilo Kai caramel spiced rum would probably be excellent.
Make all of your friends admire and Instagram* and "ooh" and "ahh"
Eat immediately. Lemon juice can only prevent browning for so long.
