Alright peeps. This is kind of a new thing so let's see how it works. This is a new segment called "Songs everyone should know" and to start it off we begin with the most important band of all: The Beastie Boys. Because everyone from generation X to the present should love them.
1. Sure Shot
This song makes number one, because at this point in their career, the Beastie boys had a bunch of room to experiment. But this, is straight up Hip-Hop. Which makes it unpredictably, pleasant.
"(You've Got To) Fight For Your Right (To Party)"
Everyone's party anthem at one point or another.
"No Sleep Till Brooklyn"
This is a vintage song. Belongs in every list.
A cinematic short film of itself, filled with all the best Beastie Boys Shenanigans.
Quite simply the greatest two and a half minutes ever dedicated to a 40 ounce malt liquor beverage, “Brass Monkey” is the funky anthem that’ll play at some point on any given night at every bar around the country.
Great story telling by the Beastie Boys!
Just, don’t expect a history lesson here. We’re assuming Paul Revere didn’t hit the bar with a shotgun to his temple when he rode around Massachusetts on his 18th-century trek.
"Shake Your Rump"
Hilarious non-sequitors and sublime rapper-to-rapper transitions--set the stage for smart-ass white kids for decades to come.
One of the greatest music videos of all time. Takes you through a musical adventure filled with awesome peaks and valleys
Best way to get that girl.
So much pop culture shenanigans.
"Make Some Noise"
One of the last big Beastie Boys singles before MCA passed away.
