Lest we forget those corporate power ties & shoulder pads, the hundreds of unintentionally funny movies, all those hair metal bands parading about and finally the inevitable rise of the home computer and video games.

Ah the 80β²s, where Saturday cartoons veered from random to the homo-erotic, where big cans of hairspray fixed up even bigger hair, where geometric shapes, bold fonts and neon colours adorned every item of clothing & where every song had the classic new-age synth sound.
