We’re huge fans of Spanish visual artist Nacho Ormaechea and his unique blend of street portraits & vibrant collages.
He walks the streets of Paris photographing its locals shopping, listening to music or just crossing the street. Once home, he then turns their portraits into silhouettes, cramming in a variety of strange and usual scenes within the outline of the individual.
The end result is a true feast for the eyes, with the luminous images inside the collage relating to the scene as a whole – it’s inventive, unique and (we think) looks fantastic. You can see more examples from the series as well as the latest projects Nacho is working on via his official website: http://lecarnetnoir.com/
