Anne Hathaway got her dream role in Les Miserables as Fantine, but it came at a cost. The role of Fantine is that of a prostitute suffering from tuberculosis during the French Revolution. Hathaway lost 25 pounds for the role overall- 10lbs during an initial cleanse, and then another 15lbs by sticking to a strict diet of only oatmeal paste crackers and water. Probably not the healthiest thing for the already waifish actress, and it shows in her pallid complexion. Here are some production stills from the film, and more recent photos by Annie Liebovitz for Vogue.
