18 houses in Clear Lake California are slowly sinking into the ground and officials cannot figure out why. These houses are not sinking due to sink holes as they are built on ground composed of volcanic rock. One home is already 10 feet below street level. Some home owners have not evacuated but have begun to see worrisome cracks in their walls and floors. Insurance companies are claiming they have no responsibilities in these cases.
