These are teams no one wants to face heading into march madness. These teams are all white hot and ready to go. One of these teams might go on to win it all. Only time will tell.
Which Teams are looking the best?
New Mexico - In a season of two steps forward, one step back, New Mexico has finally managed to string together a bunch of strong performances.
Davidson - Once again, Steph Curry’s alma mater is going to be one of the premier upset picks in March. Not only is Davidson loaded with seniors, but the Wildcats have momentum to spare heading into the Southern Conference tournament.
Middle Tennessee State - Middle Tennessee State couldn’t quite win out in Sun Belt play, but the Blue Raiders sure made a good run at it. Their 19-1 conference record includes a 16-game winning streak to close the regular season.
Louisville - Eighth-ranked Louisville has ripped off six consecutive wins, a run highlighted by a rare road victory over Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.
Louisiana Tech - Even if the Bulldogs’ opposition hasn’t been the strongest, there’s no substitute for the swagger they’ve built up by going without a loss since December 12.
Kansas - The Jayhawks have won seven in a row, beating No. 9 Kansas State and No. 13 Oklahoma State in the process.
Ohio State - Back in December, Duke was being heralded as a national title favorite for beating three top-five teams (Kentucky, Louisville and Ohio State). Don’t look now, but the Buckeyes are on a roll that’s very nearly as impressive.
Gonzaga - Gonzaga’s current push has them at 12 games in a row heading into the WCC tournament, not to mention a perfect 16-0 record in league play for the season.
