20 feb 2020 14:36

Faced with rows of inaccessible shops and cafes, a German wheelchair user has devised a low-tech high-fun solution by building her own ramps made of Lego. Rita Ebel was left in a wheelchair after a car accident 25 years ago and found getting in and out of shops around the German town of Hanau very difficult. She has even been given the nicknamed 'Lego grandma' by other residents in her hometown.

06 may 2016 13:48

The Braille Bricks project, co-founded by the Dorina Nowill Foundation For The Blind, helps blind children learn to read through play. Each block can be used like a toy by blind and sighted children alike, although for the benefit of the blind children, each block features one Braille letter. So far, the São Paulo based organisation has only manufactured enough bricks for 300 students, but through the Creative Commons, they hope more will be made.

Miniature LEGO Adventures That I Create In My Spare Time

I am a French photographer born in 1981, and I began my work by photographing extreme sports in urban areas. Influenced by geek culture, my artistic approach is now focused on small LEGO® characters. My work combines the techniques of photography, street art, model making and installations; in my created microcosms, I play with scale and material to alter perception.
