My name is Anna Karenina Glinoga and I’m a fine art photographer born in Metro Manila, Philippines. My frustrations and struggles make my imagination spark creation. Photography has always been my way of expressing my deepest feelings towards depression. When my father passed away two years ago, my grandmother inspired me to start a project that perfectly mirrors our shared experiences through photographs.

I’ve started this drawing project a while ago, in May 2015. I drew all kinds of imaginary friends at my office having fun. You can check them out here. This time I’ve made a series with Jerry and Nibbles having daily fun at home.

A Global Art Project Brings Paintings of Anonymous Figures out of Museums and onto the Streets

While visiting the Louvre last year, artist and filmmaker Julien de Casabianca was struck by an Ingres painting of a female prisoner tucked unceremoniously into a corner of the museum. He suddenly had an idea: what if he could somehow free her—both figuratively and literally—by reproducing her figure on a public street. With that single act, the Outings Project was born.

23 oct 2015 10:06

October is Down Syndrome Awareness month so we couldn’t think of a better time to share the second set of Wil Can Fly photos. I started this series back on March 21st (National Down Syndrome Day) of this year as a way to illustrate the joy my son (Wil) has brought to our family. Wil has Down Syndrome, but my family and I know that won’t stop him from doing anything he puts his mind to – Wil Can Fly.

Titled “My Breast Choice,” McGuinness photographed herself as Rosie the Riveter prior to her operation and the Bride of Frankenstein after. She learned she had cancer just three days before a planned appointment to schedule a preventative mastectomy; McGuinness had lost her mother to ovarian cancer on July 5th, 2013.

The man rocking the pink tutu is named Bob Carey, and for over 10 years, he's been running around in it for a very special person: his wife, Linda. When Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer, Bob, a photographer, did two of the things he knew how to do best: He got out his camera and his silly humor.

The Reality Behind Travel Photography – Cropping Changes Everything

“Broken India” shows the reality behind stylized Instagram photos of India. Launched by Limitless, a new Indian company in Singapore, the campaign challenges the rosy picture painted by “Beautiful India” and reveals the poverty and pollution that plague the country. Not all of the pictures are shocking, as only two out of the eight show real poverty, but the creators hope they are enough to start a national conversation.

Artist Completes His Half-Shaved Hipster Beard With Random Objects

06 aug 2015 10:50

Art Director Adriano Alarcon is based in Downtown Sao Paulo. “Fifty Fifty Selfie Barber Shop” was his fun project of half hipster’s beard replaced with Everyday Objects. After committing to shaving off only one-half of a 4-month old beard, Alarcon began filling the gap on his face with a variety of objects, creatures and substances. The best part about this surreal photography project is that it was created with absolutely no Photoshop!

My name is Jakub Pavlovsky and I’m a 21-year-old supporter of reading books. I was born in Slovakia but I’ve been living in the Czech Republic for several years. A few months ago, I realized that people weren’t reading books as much as they did before. Nowadays, they prefer all the modern technologies rather than a lovely and interesting book. Of course, there are still many people who never forget about the beauty of stories written on paper. Unfortunately, there are more those who just...

“Digital X-Ray: Tattoo’d” is a book project using the iPad to show off hidden tattoos. Using the iPad as an “x-ray” we see the art hidden underneath clothes. Along with the photos, the book will feature the reason why the models got their specific tattoos. This is a sample of the project.

The Most Morbid Photo Series You'll See Today
Helen
07 sep 2013 14:12

Ready for the most morbid question you'll be asked today? If you were to die tomorrow, what photo would you choose to be displayed at your funeral? Photographer Frieke Janssens is behind Your Last Shot, a set that takes that thought-provoking question and turns it into an intriguing series.“In reality, those left behind need to quickly find a photo that is ‘OK’ and usually requires some Photoshop retouching," he states. "How would the deceased feel about the chosen photo? Maybe he or she...

Crocheting a Locomotive in Lodz, Poland

Although currently living in the United States, crochet artist Olek recently returned to her native country of Poland for an epic project. Over the course of two straight (and rainy) days, Olek and her team of four assistants ‘yarn bombed’ an entire locomotive with two freight cars in tow. Olek had already crocheted many of the panels beforehand but they still had to be assembled to cover the train. The team worked through the night to pull off the massive undertaking, debuting the crocheted...

In his final semester of architecture school, graduate student Hank Butitta grew tired of completing conceptual projects that only existed on paper and decided to bring an assignment to life. With this drive, Butitta impulsively bought a school bus off of Craigslist for $3,000 with the intention of redesigning it into a mobile home for his final project. The idea gained traction and the support of professional architects and instructors, prompting the ambitious architect to actually...
