Cowboy Grandpa Empties Pool With Box Cutter, Pandemonium Ensues
22 sep 2013 22:54

Well, slashing the thing open with a knife certainly tops pushing down on one side and watching the water slowly pour out in the fun category, as far as ways to empty your above-ground pool go. We’ve got to give this self-proclaimed “cowboy” grandpa credit where credit is due — this certainly tops giving your grandkids a couple of boards, a coffee can full of nails and a hammer, which was our primary grandpa good times experience. The bet part of all — *SPOILERS* — nobody gets injured in this video, which also negates most of our grandpa experiences (did we mention the five-year-old with a hammer thing?). All in all, we’d say 10 out 10, would go to the end-of-summer pool party again next year.

Well, slashing the thing open with a knife certainly tops pushing down on one side and watching the water slowly pour out in the fun category, as far as ways to empty your above-ground pool go.

The Truth Behind That Hilarious Car Accident Voicemail Video
22 sep 2013 22:53

An eight-year-old internet video is going viral once again. But is that funny voicemail video that made you laugh legit? People who have never lived west of the Mississippi seem to have a hard time believing this video could be for real. To everyone else, the man on the phone sounds suspiciously like their uncle who always brings a bottle of Crown Royal to Christmas dinner. Well, hold on to your hats, unbelievers (FACT: all unbelievers wear hats, that is one of their most distinguishing characteristics), because sources say…this video is LEGIT. The source of said verification? Fast food chain Jack in the Box themselves. Although they do not understand why this video rears its head every couple of years or so, they confirm that it is, in fact, real. As the story goes, the man delivering the play-by-play of one of the funniest auto accidents of all time was an operations manager at Jack in the Box who was running late to work. He called his boss right before the accident involving several feisty old ladies and one unfortunate man happened. The recording of the voicemail was passed around amongst Jack in the Box employees and eventually trickled out onto the internet. And the rest is viral video history. Over the years, various people have called into radio shows that aired the voicemail message claiming to have been involved in the incident. We would like to point out that it has only been confirmed that the video is a recording of an actual message, not that the events described in the voicemail actually happened. But we can dream. Dream of a place where old ladies wield Bibles and people still leave super long voicemails.

An eight-year-old internet video is going viral once again. But is that funny voicemail video that made you laugh legit?

These Giant Hyperrealistic Paintings Will Absolutely Floor You
22 sep 2013 22:36

To say Eloy Morales is an extremely gifted artist is an understatement. Based in Madrid, Spain, he has been refining his craft since 1995. Possibly one of the best photorealistic painters in the world, the depth and detail of his work is astounding; not only are his paintings photographic in quality, they possess a kind of life to them. Morales uses himself, family and friends as subject matter. He does this so that he is able to better develop the psychological aspects within his paintings. “I want to show how the person is feeling in that moment… this is the most important thing for me”. But how does he create such incredibly detailed and realistic artworks? The secret, it seems, is more to do with blending and layering, rather than focusing on the details…

To say Eloy Morales is an extremely gifted artist is an understatement. Based in Madrid, Spain, he has been refining his craft since 1995.

Stylish Occult Posters Promoting Magicians From 1900s
22 sep 2013 22:35

He might not be a household name like say David Copperfield or Criss Angel, but in his day Harry Kellar was one of the more popular magicians of his era. Aside from baffling audiences with smoke and mirrors and a well timed sleight of hand, magicians had to promote and market themselves heavily in order to bring the crowds in. Once you reach a certain level, where your show was so utterly compelling that everyone was talking about you, then you could ease up and let your name sell the tickets for you – until that turning point, it was all about the marketing. One particular element that always captured the attention of the general public was the occult. Kellar was well-aware of the power of suggestion and ensured all of his promotional posters featured himself commanding or conjuring up devils and wicked imps. Buy a ticket to one of his shows and you too could have an audience with demonic and supernatural. So successful were the designs of the posters in promoting his show that when he retired his successor Howard Thurston continued to use the same elements. A different magician, but with the same talents and unique gifts to communicate with the underworld. The posters themselves date back the early 1900′s – Kellar retired in 1908, presumably to kick back, have a drink with Lucifer and count all his money. Others magicians tried to copy his imagery, including is “Miss Baldwin” who also has those mischievous red devils littering her tour poster. If you find these posters as interesting as we do, we recommend you get yourself a copy of Magic. 1400s-1950s. It contains around 850 rarely seen vintage posters, photographs, handbills, and engravings whilst wonderfully tracing the history of magic from the early 1400s through to the 1950s. After seeing these posters, would you also want to see a Harry Kellar show?

What on earth were they thinking? It’s a question you’ll constantly be asking yourself with this next post. Vintage Flying Cars You'll Wish Really Existed

We love ‘Air Drive’ a cool little photo series by French photographer Renaud Marion. Like many of us, he was excited by the possibility of whizzing around his local area in some form of flying vehicle. Afterall, that’s what we’ve all been promised in countless movies, novels and TV shows isn’t it? Even as far back as 1900! Many referenced the year 2000 as being the era that would usher in a new waves of transportation. And how could you forget those futuristic hoverboards from Back To The Future?

A Cute Redditor Teaches You How To Make A Dress Out Of A Turtleneck
18 sep 2013 13:17

So here’s something weird/creative/interesting. You can find the full images complete with step-by-step instructions here. As much as I enjoy the ingenuity and overall oddness of a resourceful and fashion forward Redditor sharing how to turn a huge turtleneck into a dress I can’t quite bring myself to cut and paste the instructions. Besides, like most things on Reddit half the fun comes from the comments, where in this instance SarahPanda’s contribution has inspired random hairy dudes from around the globe to raid their own closets and share results. I’d include some of those here but they’re borderline NSFW thanks to pretty much everything about them. If you need me I’ll be adding this to my “tried and loved” section on Pinterest.

The Government Wants You To Unlock Your Phone
18 sep 2013 13:16

A few months back, we told you that Obama had paid lip service to a petition about being able to legally unlock your phone, but that nothing was going to happen from the sound of things. Apparently, we misheard the sound of things, because the White House is actually pushing the FCC to do something. Specifically, the White House has petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to make phone unlocking at any time completely legal. It’s currently illegal because of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. Explaining why would take forever, and not even the government can offer a good reason. Will the FCC do it? Considering who’s running the joint, odds look pretty good: Before resigning earlier this year, former FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said the commission would examine the issue “to see if we can and should enable consumers to use unlocked phones,” adding that a ban on unlocking “raises competition concerns; it raises innovation concerns.” Tom Wheeler, President Obama’s nominee to succeed Genachowski, said during a nomination hearing in June that he supported lifting the ban. Needless to say, there’s the usual mindless panic among people who insist that this will bring to an end to subsidized phones. Which it won’t, because most of those subsidized phones are tied to a contract anyway, and it makes far more sense to buy the unlocked version of a phone than eat an early termination fee. Now, contracts themselves are increasingly an endangered species, but that’s due to market forces and phone hardware update cycles, not government intervention. Unlocking phones means we can get more use out of them, and that we can choose more easily what network we use when communicating. The White House views it as giving consumers the tools to vote with their wallets, and really, that’s what it is, in the end. Besides, considering how many phone ads we see now, it’s not like wireless carriers will have to shell out more for marketing.

iOS 7 Download Is Out, And You Should Update Right Now
18 sep 2013 13:15

Just a friendly reminder: iOS 7, probably the most compelling product Apple talked about last week, is out. If you’ve got an iDevice capable of running it, you need to get it. Why? Glad you asked! Not for the graphics finishes; people will be having a nice rabble rabble about that for days, and it couldn’t matter a bit less. No, what matters is what’s under the hood. The Notification and Control Centers are probably my favorite feature. The Notification Center is a very clean, simple way to look at your stuff in one place, something that iOS could use a better form of. The Control Center, meanwhile, is something Android will swipe in the next update: Essentially it puts all the settings you could want right at your fingertips. The camera software has also gotten an overhaul: While I find the Instagramming of every piece of camera software on every phone to be almost as nauseating as the gold iPhone 5S, I’m forced to admit Apple’s filters were actually designed to make a photo look better. That’s as close as I’m going to get to a glowing recommendation, but if you have to use filters, Apple’s gone out of its way to make some good ones. Finally, the most subtle change is the best. Apple has dumped the whole “Oh, you’ve never used a smartphone before” attitude in favor of designing the OS to just make sense and flow naturally. Everything is more sensible, smoother, more logical. In some ways, iOS 7 shakes off some unnecessary cruft in favor of being more user-friendly in general. In short, it’s easily the best thing Apple’s rolled out this year. Go get it!

Watch Amy Poehler Impersonate Her Son Saying Spicy Salsa For Kimmel
18 sep 2013 13:14

Not so long ago I mentioned that Tina Fey should be the only person allowed to talk about her children. Well, my list has fittingly been expanded to two with the addition of best person ever, Amy Poehler. Last night real life Leslie Knope appeared in multiple segments on Jimmy Kimmel Live with the moment of moments coming in the above clip where she impersonates here uber bankable red haired son with a lisp getting tricked into saying “spicy salsa” over and over again. It’s funny because he doesn’t realize he’s being tricked into doing things for others’ amusement. That starts at the :55 mark. The rest of her appearance was almost as delightful, so let’s run through it… First there was Amy and Stephen Merchant pitching in on the monologue.

Hear Pre-Led Zeppelin P.J. Proby Album
18 sep 2013 13:00

In 1969, long before Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham inspired Wayne’s World signs and shoved sharks up women’s vaginas, hell, even before they went by Led Zeppelin, they played on P.J. Proby’s largely forgotten country-blues album, Three Week Hero. Proby, a music industry legend who had a number of hits in the U.K. but is most remembered for the “pants-splitting incident” in the States, signed the then-New Yardbirds foursome to a two-day recording contract, likley beginning on August 25th, 1968. According to Dangerous Minds, that date marked “the very first time that Led Zeppelin would enter a recording studio together.” You can read more about the sessions here, or just listen to the great “The Day That Lorraine Came Down” below.

Signs the Pumpkin Spice Craze Has Gone Too Far
18 sep 2013 12:55

Like it or not, fall is here, (pretty much, let’s not get technical about it, okay?). We all know what that means — hot apple cider, digging out your sweaters from the back of the closet, and people going on and on about how much they love pumpkin spice lattes. It was only so long before the market responded, and now are subjected to an onslaught of pumpkin spice-flavored crap so extreme, we think things have gotten a tad out of hand. Here are just a few examples that the fad has gone too far.

Dancing Bus Stop Lady Lands Prestigious Theater Role
18 sep 2013 12:47

What’s that saying about how you should dance like no one is watching? That credo certainly paid off for Ellie Cole. The British woman, 35, was captured on video dancing while waiting at a bus stop by a café owner across the street. The video went viral and now she’s been rewarded with a role in a show at the country’s Point Theatre. Although viewers watched her cutting a rug to Abba’s ‘Dancing Queen,’ Cole was actually dancing along to a song called ‘Knock Down’ by Alesha Dixon. The hoopla has certainly caught her off-guard. She said, “I’m just a normal everyday person who happens to like dancing at bus stops.” Cole had intended to study performing arts when she was younger, but she had to drop out of school due to money issues, so you know the offer to be in a show is one she appreciates. “It’s very flattering and humbling,” she says. And, for the record, she’ll be appearing in the musical ‘Ah Men!’

Awe-inspiring Invention Could Clean World's Oceans In 5 years
18 sep 2013 12:36

Every year we produce over 300 million tonnes of plastic. Of this, over 7.25 million tonnes of it ends up in our oceans in the form of top-level floating debris – that’s 4.8 million medium-sized cars or 51 billion iPods floating around the ocean. This plastic breaks down into smaller pieces each year, poisoning the food chain and ultimately affecting the food we eat.

NASA Captures Epic 'Frog Photo' During Spacecraft Launch
18 sep 2013 12:35

NASA is noted for its incredible photography of space, earth and our farthest reaches of the known Universe. They’re less known for Photobombing. But that’s exactly what happened on Sept 7th when the Lunar Atmosphere & Dust Environment Explorer (known as LADEE) was launched into the stars above. During a photograph of its launch, the NASA team amazingly captured a small frog in amongst the furore. It was either innocently sitting on the shuttle itself or on the ground nearby – either way it must have had quite a shock! The result is a tiny silhouette of a frog being blasted some 30ft in the air, engulfed in smokey exhaust of the shuttle. NASA has since confirmed the image is in fact real (no Photoshopping of Kermit going on here) before awkwardly adding “the condition of the frog, however, is uncertain.”

Must-See Freaky Faces Made From Designer Clothes
18 sep 2013 12:33

When it comes to the majority of our clothes, we wear them, clean them, fold them and store them. And we repeat this cycle until they are too outdated too worn to wear – we seldom actually have fun with our clothes. The same, however, cannot be said for Austrian photographer Bela Borsodi. From her private New York studio, she’s unleashed a selection of freakish faces, formed and folded entirely from fashionable clothes. Titled ‘Fashion Faces’ she’s taken designer jeans, jackets, shirts and sweaters and contorted them into unusual & somewhat grumpy faces. Even more impressive that her origami-esque skills is the fact she did all this without a single drop of glue or pair of scissors being needed. Her only tools were a vivid imagination, buckets of clothes and lots of trial and error. The result? Your laundry never looked so…..lifelike!

Infographic: The Truth About How Beer Saved The World
18 sep 2013 12:24

It might sound slightly ludicrous, but if you were one of the Egyptian builders working on the Pyramids in 1600 BC, your daily wage wasn’t in the form of currency – but 1 gallon of beer. In retrospect, that sounds like a good deal right? Although having a hangover of epic proportions, whilst attempting to build one of the Seven Wonders Of The World in the scorching sun probably wasn’t the smartest move. Another example of beer fandom amongst the annuals of history, takes us across to the United States. The founding fathers of America, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams & Ben Franklin aside from being astute & visionary individuals, were also all brewers and avid drinkers of beer. In fact it was over several beers at their local tavern that they decided to start the revolution. Did several the jugs of malt & hops single-handedly cause them to rise up in the name of liberty for the common man? Probably not, but there’s no denying it helped the cause along that night. Those are just a few of the interesting tidbits from the ‘Beer Saved The World’ infographic below, you’ll find many more facts, figures and trivia as you scroll down. So next time you relaxing with a beer in your hand enjoying those hops, just think, without them the world could be a very very different place right now.

No, You Shouldn't Buy An iPhone 5S. Here's Why.
16 sep 2013 11:41

The iPhone 5c is pretty. The iPhone 5S is impressive, with bells and whistles like a more advanced camera and a fingerprint scanner. And you shouldn’t buy either of them. I’m not saying this to be contrary, or to pick a fight with Apple fans. I’m saying this because, on a practical level, buying most phones, not just the iPhone, does not make sense anymore. Stop and consider when the iPhone was first introduced, in 2007. There was nothing like it, and it revolutionized smartphones. But the iPhone’s main customer base was never you and me. It was the carriers. Remember, when a phone is subsidized, it means the carrier has given Apple a massive wad of cash already, up to $500 a phone; recouping that money is their problem, not Apple’s. And boy, is it ever a problem. So, locking you into a two-year contract is no longer a matter of pure profit for wireless carriers; when you buy an iPhone, it is an absolute necessity. The problem is that increasingly, the two year wireless contract is an endangered species. As technologies like ubiquitous WiFi and white-space broadband propagate courtesy of companies like Google, carrier networks will be less and less crucial to communications. It’s pretty likely that within ten years, we won’t be using carrier networks for data at all and possibly barely use them for voice communications. And it makes even less sense if you want to stay on the cutting edge of technology whether you’re a geek who likes the toys or need the power for work: Every cell phone manufacturer updates their hardware every year, and it’s generally at least incrementally better. I’m just using the iPhone as an example; realistically you can apply this to many other phones. So, essentially, at some point in this cycle, probably sooner rather than later, you will be locked into a contract you no longer need or want but have to keep paying for. And that’s not the only problem.

The iPhone 5c is pretty. The iPhone 5S is impressive, with bells and whistles like a more advanced camera and a fingerprint scanner. And you shouldn’t buy either of them.

So The iPhone 5S Violates Your Constitutional Rights
16 sep 2013 11:39

It’s very rare that an object can violate your Constitution rights just by existing. Leave it to Apple, and the iPhone 5S, to somehow pull this off. Specifically, the iPhone 5S’s fancy new fingerprint scanner basically is an accidental end-run around the Fifth Amendment. How the hell does that work? It comes down to what the Supreme Court has defined as “testimonial,” as Wired breaks down: If the police demand that you give them the key to a lockbox that happens to contain incriminating evidence, turning over the key wouldn’t be testimonial if it’s just a physical act that doesn’t reveal anything you know. However, if the police try to force you to divulge the combination to a wall safe, your response would reveal the contents of your mind — and so would implicate the Fifth Amendment. In other words, if for some reason the police want to take a look at your phone, if you use a fingerprint scanner, they can make you open it and browse through. But if it’s password-encoded, they can’t. Oh, those wacky laws! Of course, this would also be a violation of the Fourth Amendment but that one seems to be on hold lately. Wired notes that requiring both the fingerprint scanner and a combination to access your phone would make it a violation of the Fifth, and probably something Apple should do post-haste. It’s also a valuable reminder that as technology advances, laws do not automatically advance with them, and sometimes that can create severe problems. But hey, at least the fingerprint scanner is all fancy!

It’s very rare that an object can violate your Constitution rights just by existing. Leave it to Apple, and the iPhone 5S, to somehow pull this off.

Give A Child A Nightmare
12 sep 2013 12:02

Kids are way too sheltered these days. With 24 hours of children’s television available, they aren’t forced to watch Unsolved Mysteries and America’s Most Wanted like I was. Stir things up a bit. Get a Zombie Pet Plush. The huggable undead might bring them some sweet–yet still a little scary–cuddles by day, but turn the lights out and wait for the screams! Look at these things…they’re pretty gross looking. Choose from Bitey – a possibly rabid baby werewolf, Deadington Ruxworth – a stuffed bear, or Frostbite – an undead penguin.

GODZILLA First Look From the New Movie?

This is a licensing Expo poster for the Gareth Edwards directed reboot of Godzilla. A lot of other movie sites seem to believe that this is our first real look at the creature, but I'm not fully convinced. I think they just used that image to slap on a licensing poster, but I don't think it's the real thing. Back at San Diego Comic-Con an up-close image of a face of Godzilla leaked out which you can see here. This looks like a similar design. The thing is... we were told that Godzilla design was not the final design for the actual film. I think this is just another temporary placeholder design to help get people excited, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

JURASSIC WORLD - Concept Trailer For Cancelled Game

Producer Frank Marshall clarified things on his twitter account, saying that this isn't part of the film, but it's still a fun watch! GOOD WILL HUNTING with Batman
11 sep 2013 17:44

Ben Affleck has fallen victim to another Batman parody. This one inserts Batman as Affleck's character in his Oscar-winning film, Good Will Hunting. The short comes from comedian Pete Holmes, and it's pretty entertaining, so enjoy!

Domestic Violence Isn't Funny But These Ike Turner Memes Are
11 sep 2013 17:39

First, I want to preface this by saying that domestic violence is a very serious issue. There’s nothing funny about an insecure, possibly closeted, man beating women. Okay? It's wrong. Unless...nope. It's wrong. Nevermind. Domestic violence is wrong. Period. Now that that’s out the way, someone somewhere started making up these Ike Turner memes and passing them along social media. They're pretty simple yet effective in getting an actual LOL out of me. Words like "My girl ain't allowed to pray silently... I need to know what her and Jesus got going on" are placed on an image of Ike, who as we know used to beat the sh*t out of Tina. At least that's what I got from the movie and that one Martin episode. It's okay to laugh at these. If not, we'll all just have a blast in hell together. No biggie.

‘Always Sunny’ Gets The ‘Cheers’ Opening Credits Treatment
11 sep 2013 17:37

Official Comedy uploaded the below video last Wednesday — the day of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia premiere — and I somehow indefensibly didn’t get around to watching it until today. I blame Rum Ham. But now that I have viewed it many, many times I can safely say it is incredible and belongs in a museum and fully endorse the show itself swapping it in for an episode. I mean, the graphics work alone. Just splendid. If you need me I’ll be turning a screengrab of Mac & Charlie at the Flyers game into my desktop wallpaper.

Lionel Richie Offered Some Parenting Advice To Billy Ray Cyrus
11 sep 2013 17:32

As the saga of Miley Cyrus’ strange obsession with twerking and becoming a hip hop star continues into what feels like its 100th year, not a lot of people have been asking perhaps the most important and interesting question: What does Billy Ray Cyrus think of all of this? According to Miley, dad couldn’t be happier and told her that he loved the whole foam finger, simulated doggystyle sex performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs last month, but that’s like me saying that my parents are proud of me for being a blogger. Singer Lionel Richie has a feeling that he knows what Billy Ray is going through, because his own daughter, Nicole Richie, was once a wild reality TV starlet and also a drug addict, but she has gone on to become a fashion icon and role model to all of the girls that she and Paris Hilton brainwashed for years. With that, Lionel offered Billy Ray a little advice.

Barf! An Officially Licensed 'River City Ransom' Has Hit Kickstarter
11 sep 2013 17:28

Oh, River City Ransom. For you youngsters out there, RCR was a brawler in which stumpy Japanese, er, I mean American kids beat the barf out of each other across an 8-bit open world (15-years before the term “open world” even existed). It also had naked butts. Heh heh. The game wasn’t a huge hit when it was first released, but it’s held up far better than your average NES game and picked up a pretty solid cult following since then. Well, more River City Ransom may soon be on the way, because River City Random: Underground has just hit Kickstarter. The game is essentially a 16-bit update to the RCR formula, and unlike a lot of the “spiritual successors” to classic 8 and 16-bit games you see on Kickstarter, River City Ransom: Underground is actually officially licensed. Yup, whatever remains of Technos (the original developers of RCR) has declared this a real River City Ransom game. Hit the jump to check out the standard Kickstarter hype video…

A Middle Eastern Prince Spent $500K for 15 Minutes with Bella Swan
11 sep 2013 17:27

Kristen Stewart gets way too much crap simply for being associated for Twilight, and not enough crap for being a one-note actress whose one move is “broody wounded dove.” Nonetheless, she certainly has her fans, including an unnamed Middle Eastern prince who paid $500,000 just to sit with her for 15 minutes. Long enough for at least an under-the-skirt hand job, I hope. Harvey Weinstein told the story while promoting his Hurricane Sandy benefit concert film, 12.12.12.. From the New York Times:

Saul Goodman 'Breaking Bad' Spinoff Is Happening
11 sep 2013 17:21

AMC’s neon shirt budget just skyrocketed, ’cause the Saul Goodman Breaking Bad spinoff is ON. After several weeks of negotiations, the basic cable network has inked a licensing agreement with Sony for the series’ next iteration. “As conceived, the new series is based on the show’s popular Saul Goodman character with the working title Better Call Saul,” the studio and network confirmed in a joint statement, adding: “plans call for Saul to be a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character [played by Bob Odenkirk] before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer.” The series will star Odenkirk, with writer/producer Peter Gould set to run the series as it was Gould who created the character back in season. Bad creator Vince Gilligan will remain involved, and noted in late July that it was his “fervent wish” that the spinoff would move forward. Had talks with AMC fallen through, there were several other distributors, including Netflix, that were set to pounce with rich offers. Like Bad, the series will be produced by Sony, where Gilligan spent several years under an overall deal. The showrunner has not yet re-upped, and has fast become the most in-demand showrunner in town. The news comes as Bad is set to ends its run in less than a month. (Via IMBD) Feel free to answer every question for the rest of the day with, “It’s all good, man.” (Yes, Better Call Saul could suck, but it could also be great, and it’ll keep Odenkirk distracted from making The Brothers Solomon 2.)

'Worst Twerk Fail Ever' Video Actually a Jimmy Kimmel Hoax
11 sep 2013 16:54

So remember the video of the twerking girl who accidentally set herself on fire? Remember how we all got a good laugh out of it? Remember how everyone from YouTube commenters to morning news shows dubbed it “the end of the twerking craze as we know it”? Well, turns out it was all a hoax perpetuated by that merry prankster Jimmy Kimmel. As revealed last night on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ the whole thing was cooked up by Kimmel and his staff as a prank. It turns out “Caitlin Heller” isn’t even the name of the girl in the video — she’s a stuntwoman named Daphne Avalon who collaborated with Jimmy on the video. Kimmel claims that he and his staff uploaded the video, titled “Worst Twerk Fail EVER – Girl Catches Fire!,” a couple of months ago and it just took off in the last week thanks to Miley Cyrus grinding all over Alan Thicke’s son on national television. (The video is dated September 3rd, but whatever you say, Jimmy.) The video spread last week like the fire running up “Caitlin’s” leg, and as Jimmy pointed out, tons of media outlets played the video with such attention-grabbing headlines as “Worst Twerking Fail Ever” and “The End of Twerking?” Jimmy even sneaks in a dig at the media, saying “good thing nothing is happening in Syria right now.” Of course, many people questioned the validity of the video, wondering why a) someone would upload such a video to YouTube themselves and b) who exactly twerks by doing a handstand against a door. You win, Jimmy. We all needed a release from the constant discussions of twerking and wanted to laugh at this supposed “fail.” But what did you expect? Did you really think that every media outlet would not cover the video? That’s like throwing a bunch of icky fish guts at a shark and telling him not to chow down. It’s just cruel, Jimmy.
