Kelenföld is a neighborhood in Budapest, Hungary. It belongs to Újbuda, which is located in the southern part of Buda. Workers built the large Kelenföld housing estate between 1967 and 1983 from pre-fabricated concrete blocks. The Kelenföld railway station is an important transport hub of Buda. Kelenföld Power Station, the largest electrical generation plant in the world after its construction in 1912, is now a tourist attraction.

Unique architecture and the way that things are made is so interesting to me. I love seeing interesting homes, and realizing that people actually live their day-to-day lives there. Some of these must have been a total pain to furnish- you can't really have a stunning house and then toss some IKEA furniture in it. The furniture has to be as one-of-a-kind as the house! These houses are architecturally fascinating, and must make for really good dinner party conversation.

This house was built during the Cold War. The half of it is built under the ground to protect its owners during the nuclear apocalypse. The house has an undeground lawn with a BBQ grill, pool, etc. The house is located in Las Vegas. It's on sale for 1.7 million USD.

Belgian artist Wim Delvoye creates large-scale sculptures of vehicles typically found on construction sites, using an intricate lattice design. Inspired by Gothic architecture, the massive laser-cut Corten steel structures break the boundaries between constructing tools and resulting art. They appear to be one and the same, each truck mimicking a sort of mobile cathedral.

In his final semester of architecture school, graduate student Hank Butitta grew tired of completing conceptual projects that only existed on paper and decided to bring an assignment to life. With this drive, Butitta impulsively bought a school bus off of Craigslist for $3,000 with the intention of redesigning it into a mobile home for his final project. The idea gained traction and the support of professional architects and instructors, prompting the ambitious architect to actually transform the vehicle.
