Ralph From The Simpsons Turned Into A Creepy Cake

Kylie Mangles, the master baker behind the baking and design website Freshly Squeez’d, has created a masterpiece cake that blurs the boundaries between, of all things, graphic design and baking. Mangles created the unbelievably detailed cake as a submission to a competition on threadcakes.com, where she also breaks down the cake’s complicated 5-day creation process in painstaking detail.

This Woman Can Paint Masterpieces. And She Uses Her Face As Her Canvas

The Painting Lady is a professional face painter from Rugby, Warwickshire, England. Once you see her talent, though, she seems from another world. Using her face as a canvas, this artist transforms herself from a mother of three to your worst nightmare. Her face painting passion was birthed when she began to paint the faces of her children to keep them entertained.

Haunting Images of Abandoned Places That Will Give You Goose Bumps

They say that the only permanent thing in the world is change. History books are one way to understand the passage of time, but there are also some real-life monuments that speak of the past in their own ways. While some of these monuments are well taken care of and protected, those that are partially or even completely run-down often are the most interesting. Here’s a selection of some of the most ghostly abandoned places around the world, every single one of which has its own special charm. Beneath all the dust, rust and cracks, there are stories of people who used to live, pray, or take their daily train rides there, and when you try to imagine these people and their lives, each picture gets a special aura of nostalgia. It’s as if the people in these places just picked up and left. On the other hand, it’s also fascinating to see how some things that used to belong to people are slowly being reclaimed by nature again. You might also remember Finnish photographer Kai Fagerström and his pictures of how wild animals were taking over abandoned houses in the woods of Finland. That’s just the natural circle of life and existence – and it sure makes for some awesome shots! Don’t these pictures just give you goose bumps?

Finland's 'Magic Forest' Is Actually A Place You'll Want To Avoid

If (like many) you found Singapore’s Frightening Theme Park Dedicated To Chinese Mythology a little too confronting, but still want to seek out the unusual and strange, you could always pay a visit to the “Magic Forest” in Imatra, Finland.

Whether by choice or just bad design, it’s a forest littered with unsettling stone mannequins whose’s expressions are almost as creepy as the scenarios they’re placed in. How about a moustached made in a sharp blue seat, handcuffing a teenager to a tree and beating him with a cane? Or maybe you’d be more interested in a tall lanky local flasher?

Creepy Haunted Art Gallery for Kids in Japan

The folks at Torafu Architects realized that art appreciation is just too boring for today’s youth, so they decided to make it more interesting. Did I say interesting because I meant terrifying. They created a haunted art gallery exhibit for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo. The exhibit features replicas of fine art that are not quite right. Like the eyes in some paintings move and Mona Lisa’s got hands coming out of her face. Scary stuff. Although slightly less scary when you enter a secret passageway that lets you manipulate the artwork yourself from behind.
