They share a really special bond – not only they were adopted as a pair, but also Blue Dozer is OJ’s guide because the poor dachshund is completely blind. The woman who first introduced them to each other adopted the pit bull about four years ago and already had OJ. Sadly, she recently became homeless and couldn’t keep them anymore...

Dennis is a 6-year-old dachshund that lost 79% of his body-weight over a year. When Brooklyn Burton, from West Columbus, Ohio, rescued him from relatives, he weighed a whopping 56lb (25.4kg) compared to his present 12lb (5.4kg). Dennis had been overfed on human food, including burgers and pizza.

These bizarre, giant dog heads wearing chef hats were part of an interactive public art event that recently took place in the Bay area of California. The plastic dachshund sculptures formerly served as the mascots for the Doggie Diner, which closed in 1986 in San Francisco. Just recently, Polish artist Olek was invited to cover the strange figures with her signature crochet designs.
