In 1917 This Woman Helped Deformed WWI Soldiers By Creating Incredibly Accurate Face Masks

World War I brought out the best and the worst of mankind and the people involved have been remembered either for the terror they brought or the compassion they showed. One of those compassionate individuals was Anna Coleman Watts Ladd, an American sculptor who moved to France with her husband in 1917. She created portrait-masks for severely injured WWI soldiers. Needless to say, her work changed many people’s lives

My inspiring story

 Hello everyone!
I wanted to share my true story. I'm a professional ballroom dancer from Russia living in USA. I began dancing at the age of 7 and at 14 I had an accident which nearly killed me. As a results of the trauma I was paralyzed. The doctors told me that I should be prepared for the possibility of not walking again, and that I should forget about dancing altogether.
