What might be seen as a huge rust bucket to some, is seen by others as the perfect canvas to showcase their creativity. That’s the case with the Duke Of Lancaster a huge abandoned ship just off the north coast of Wales. Former graffiti artist Maurice Blunt initially saw the vessel when he was on a train and noticing it’s run down state go into contact with its owners about potentially ’reclaiming’ the ship.
His vision was the transform it from a discarded eye-saw, into a floating art installation and thankfully the owners agreed. Soon after he quickly enlisted the help of several prominent graffiti artists (the DuDug collective) to turn his imaginative and grandiose idea into reality.
