Morning News Anchor Pulls ‘Anchorman’-Style Prompter Prank
17 may 2013 19:09

One Today Show reporter in Australia had a real Ron Burgundy moment. It seems Roz Kelly will also read anything that’s on the teleprompter. Fortunately, her co-anchor Karl Stefanovic didn’t put an F-bomb in there like Veronica Corningstone, but he did get her to imply that she enjoys the “cookies” in Amsterdam. Kelly took it in stride, and has warned Stefanovic that this means war. We all know how this ends — somebody is going to fall into a bear den at the zoo. Oh, wait, that was ‘Anchorman.’

10 Smiling Horses Guaranteed To Make You Smile, Too

Horses are funny creatures. Tthey’re totally into Skrillex hair and crazy hats. And don’t even get us started on Mr. Ed. Even without talking, horses still crack us up, which is good, because horses can’t actually talk. They can wear a ridiculous horse grin though. Truth be told, a picture of a smiling horse is probably funnier than the funniest thing you’ve ever said. There’s pretty much no way you can look at one and not crack a smile yourself. See what we mean below.

If you love yoga and you can't get enough of dogs, then you'll probably love Yoga Dogs, a book dedicated to some flexible furry creatures. Inspired by a friend’s mastiff that would imitate its master’s morning yoga routine, photographer Daniel Borris made a collection of 45 different dogs and puppies doing human yoga poses. Of course, the dogs weren't trained on how to do the "downward-facing dog" or the "inverted locus" by some kooky teacher, these hilarious photo-manipulations were created with the help of Photoshop.

Video Breakdown: 'Sexy People (The FIAT Song)' by Arianna ft. Pitbull
14 may 2013 10:00

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know exactly what's happening here. This is what I've figured out so far: You know that FIAT commercial where the cars drive around underwater? The one that starts with the lady singing "When I hear the ocean calling"? Well, it's a full-length music video now, and it features Pitbull -- who has evidently taken a momentary break from hawing every carbonated liquid known to man so he can sell you tiny Italian cars -- storming a beach on a tricked-out, model-filled yacht like the Eisenhower of sexy dance parties. And there are surprise guests. And dancing seahorses. And the one girl from 3LW grinding on a giant party bro made out of sand. And mermaids. And catapults. Here's what I'm getting at: You should watch this video. I'm going to pick out the highlights and discuss them in a minute, as I have done with my other music video breakdowns, but really ... you should watch this video. Trust me on this.

Matthew Perry Interviewed During Game 6
13 may 2013 12:30

It’s a sad day when your TV show gets cancelled, unless you’re ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry. His recent — and well-received — series ‘Go On’ is sadly getting the boot. Surely congratulations are not in order…or so we thought. At a recent Los Angeles Kings game, the once-upon-a-time Chandler Bing was in attendance. During the game, he was interviewed by sideline reporter Dan Moriarty. All seemed to be going swell, with Moriarty asking Kings questions, but once he congratulated Perry on his show being axed by NBC, it got a little weird. Luckily, Perry’s quick on his feet and proceeded to make the situation as funny as ever afterwards. As the youth of America would say, this was an absolute EPIC FAIL.

The Great Catsby trailer

Why watch ‘The Great Gatsby’ when you could watch ‘The Great Catsby’??? We had that same thought, bu Guyism went one step farther and created this mashup using the trailer’s audio and clips from ‘The Aristocats’ to make ‘The Great Catsby.’ At least, we’re pretty sure it’s a mashup. To be quite honest, it’s been so long since we’ve seen ‘The Aristocats,’ that it could actually be Disney’s retelling of ‘The Great Gatsby’ for all we know.

Richard Branson dressed as a stewardess
13 may 2013 06:40

He might be one of the most powerful men in the world, but Sir Richard Branson was the brunt of a thousand jokes on Saturday night as he donned a skirt and a full face of make-up on a flight to Malaysia. The billionaire entrepreneur swapped his boxer shorts for a pair of stockings after losing a Grand Prix bet with AirAsia chief executive Tony Fernandez two years ago. The Virgin boss - who even shaved his legs for the flight - served drinks and pledged to clean the toilets on the special flight - all while sporting the red AirAsia uniform, which included a skirt suit and crisp white shirt.

Celebrities Read Mean Tweets About Themselves On Kimmel
13 may 2013 03:14

Sometimes, when you’re sitting in the waiting room at the doctor’s office and there’s nothing to read except months old magazines and pamphlets about cholesterol, it can be easy to see a picture of a celebrity making a stupid face on the cover of, say, People magazine, and think to yourself “UGH SO-AND-SO HAS SUCH A STUPID DUMB FACE AND I HATE HIM/HER AND I WANT HIM/HER TO DIE,” because, at that moment, that person only exists in the fanciful world of television and professional photo shoots. Then you think, “You know what? I should tell everyone,” and you can, because you have a smart phone with a Twitter app and the Internet is basically magic. So you tap it out real quick and hit send, including the celebrity’s Twitter handle, and then the nurse calls your name and you head back to the exam room and never think about it again.

Gravity Starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock
13 may 2013 03:12

At long last, we have the hotly anticipated trailer for Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity. Aside from it being Cuarón’s first feature since 2006′s Children of Men, it reportedly has a 20-minute opening shot and while it was once set to star Robert Downey Jr. and Angelina Jolie, the parts ended up going to George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. I mean, that’s cool too, I guess. (*kicks can*). Finally, a use of Futura font that actually makes sense! Needless to say, Cuarón? In space? Oh, I’ll play your game, you rogue. But with big box office stars like George Clooney and Sandra Bullock on the bill, I’m a little surprised they went with the one-name, indie sci-fi name a lá Solaris or Moon and not something more commercial. Say, “Way Up in the Air,” or “The Blind Side of the Moon.” Yes, I’m a marketing genius. (*puts on foam cowboy hat marked “GENIUS,” pets cat*) “That debris’s changin’ yer lahfe…”

The Daily Show

I’m not a big fan of ‘Daily Show’ correspondent Aasif Mandvi for two reasons: 1. His voice 2. His role as Commander Zhao in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, which is easily the most ignorant-of-itself film adaptation this side of The Scarlet Letter. That said, he has won a small place in my heart for yesterday’s piece about how kids should consider NOT going to college and bringing in goddamn NEW JACK when it was time to scare the kids straight. If you aren’t familiar with the work of New Jack, he’s a pro wrestler, former ECW star and former bounty hunter with four justifiable homicides (!) who owns Wolverine claws, jumps off of balconies for little-to-no pay and is not afraid to beat a guy to death for real in front of children. He’s great, in the worst way that pro wrestling can be great, and it was surprising to see him here. But you know what? A pro wrestler who kills people is still a better fit for ‘The Daily Show’ than Olivia Munn. New Jack’s appearance is after the jump.

Space Jam Movie

Hell, there are better movies within the genre of 90s kids' sports films (The Sandlot, definitely; Little Big League, probably; the first two Mighty Ducks movies, maybe). But that does not change the fact that I love Space Jam like a loyal family pet, and that I will always stop to watch it -- picking it up at any point -- any time I see it pop up on cable. And so, please allow me to take this opportunity to explain to you why I love it. You know what? I should do this as a list. People love lists. Gwyneth Paltrow

When we last checked in on World’s Whitest Person Gwyneth Paltrow, she was dispensing her secrets for a successful relationship (more blowjobs, less arguing) in between getting a colonic and lecturing her gardener, Juan, on how juice cleanses and summers spent in chalets in the Swiss Alps are good for the complexion. And as you may have heard, when she’s not making the world a better place with her farts, Gwyneth has a website called Goop, where she teaches people how to be better at being white, or something, and apparently sells exceedingly white people things. For instance, the woman married to the Coldplay guy is currently selling stuff for your home bar on her site, stuff described on Goop as “unique accessories for the well-stocked bar.” Let’s sample the goods, shall we?

Arrested Development Best Of: Infinite Wisdom Of Lucille Bluth
13 may 2013 01:44

We're all in agreement that Jessica Walter is television's all-time mom, correct? I mean, no contest really. I honestly can't even think of another TV mom I'd pit against her for the sake of debate. Between Lucille Bluth and Malory Archer she has delivered more joy to audiences -- usually at the expense of her fictional children -- than pretty much the rest of the lot combined. What a bunch of seawards her competition is. So with Mother's Day falling smack dab in the middle of our Arrested Development on Netflix final countdown, it would be silly to not revisit all the motherly pearls of wisdom the matriarch of the Bluth Family has delighted us with over the years. Here's to even more Lucille Bluth coming soon.
