So Disney and Lucasfilm ended up giving us nothing about Star Wars: Episode VII at their D23 Expo this last weekend, and it left many fans including myself unfulfilled and disappointed. But today we bring you some cool news regarding the highly anticipated film! There's a rumor been floating around that Emperor Palpatine would be back and that Ian McDiarmid would be returning to play him. That news has now been confirmed by our friends at Latino-Review, who also give us some spoilerish details on how he will return because as you know, he was murdered by Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. I've been seeing people talking about the character being cloned, but that just didn't really make sense to me. It never even really made sense to me in the comics either. As site points out, why would the clone be an old Emperor? The whole thing made me think that their was no real truth behind the rumor, which is why I never posted anything about it. Everything has now clicked into place, though!

It happened. The notoriously anti-Internet Prince has joined Twitter (which may be a little confusing to those of you who thought the @PrinceTweets2u account was actually Prince). The musician started posting Tweets under the account of his band, 3rd Eye Girl last night, a spree that as Billboard points out was verified by Twitter’s Tatiana Grace. And in just a matter of a few hours, Prince touched on all the essentials of the social media: selfies, food pictures and memes. I didn’t think we’d find a video involving the performance of a classic song better than yesterday’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” impressionist, but this Elton John mashup is downright awesome. Posted to YouTube last October, this video shows the legendary singer/songwriter performing his 1970 classic “Your Song” over the span of four decades, and the editing job is just perfect. The result is simply marvelous, and I can’t believe that it only has 2,554 views. In fact, if someone walked up to me on the street and said, “Quick, show me a perfect YouTube video,” I’d show him this one. Or maybe this one. But probably the Elton John video.

Obviously, it’s a big deal for anyone who’s a fan of Earth tones. A movie that shows us what the characters looked like in the seventies! Can you imagine? Has this ever been done in a movie before? Maybe it will explain how Professor X went bald as a cueball. He’s like 30 in this and his hairline doesn’t even have power alleys. If a person can go bald that fast, I have something new to worry about. Also, didn’t Nicholas Hoult already turn blue in the last one? Don’t explain it, I want this to be a surprise. X-Men opens May 23, 2014, and the plot will include time travel, Bolivar Trask, Sentinels, and Peter Dinklage’s sweet porn ‘stache.
