Vietnamese Food in what they are calling "Central Market" previously "Theater District" but normally thought as Tenderloin. Tu Lan was shut down do to poor health code scores or was it? Tu Lan had yummy food at a great price, fast service and a great diversity of patrons in a friendly intimate atmosphere. Honestly, that is the best review that I, Dottiepineapple, could ever give. Being centrally located in the city people often stop and await for the promise of their reopening. Status updates say, "they have passed ALL of their inspections and just finishing up the details". In person report says that a date is set for MONDAY!!! So guess where I'll be Monday August, 26th 2013! Hope to be eating with you soon!

Since Closed Tu Lan gained several new neighbors including a San Francisco favorite, Dottie's True Blue Cafe. Dottie's has made its way into several tourist books and wraps a line around the block.
