We know tiny teacup dogs exist and they're adorable, but what if every dog could fit into a mug? Through the optical illusion of photography, they can! The trick is simply to hold the cup in front of the lens with the dog off in the background. Over on Instagram*, dogs of all sizes are being turned into mini versions of themselves, sitting in handheld cups under the hashtag #muttmuggin.
#muttmuggin was first started 6 months ago by dog owner Emily McCracken (aka @muttadventures). She says, "I was originally inspired when a friend showed me #babymugging photos by the ever talented @mommyshorts… The pictures were hilarious and adorable, so naturally I put George (my ‘fur-kid’) inside a mug." Since then, the photo project has taken off, welcoming dogs of all breeds and sizes to pretend they're sitting in regular-sized mugs.
