Required baby helmets become a great accessory thanks to a little art

When a baby has Flat-Head Syndrome they are required to wear a helmet to reshape their skull. One artist is transforming these helmets from a medical requirement to an adorable piece of clothing.
Paula Strawn started painting on baby helmets when a friend’s grandson started wearing one.
Strawn said that many parents found strangers were reticent around the plain white helmets, fearing the discomfort of approaching a child with a disability.
The paintings on the helmets have changed all of that, and are now conversation starters for awareness of Flat-Head Syndrome.
