After surviving a two-week ordeal trapped in her owner’s car engine, lucky black cat Princess peers out at her stunned rescuers.

She lifted the BMW’s bonnet to investigate and was amazed to find Princess, who had triggered the alert by chewing through the coolant hose.

Mum-of-three Julie, 40, said: “I have absolutely no idea how she managed to get there.
“It’s just unbelievable – I mean we’ve driven to and from school, work, even through the jet wash with her in there. If the warning light hadn’t come on I dread to think what could have happened.”
She added: “It has cost just over £300 to replace that hose, so it’s an expensive way to travel having your cat with you.”
