Dovas wanted to do something truly special – and something that would provide them with a story to tell to their children and grandchildren. Because he likes to sculpt wood and clay, he decided to, in one way or another, create a ring of my his design. Eventually, he found a jeweler who agreed to take anything he’d make out of wax and cast it in gold!
Here’s the piece of wax that he started with:
He kept his tools in a box that he could pack and hide quickly if she came home
it took him more than 40 hours!
All finished – time to bring it to the jeweler’s
After casting it in gold and adding a green tourmaline gemstone… It looked like this! Success!
Now for the box… after all, presentation is key
she said yes!
