Dogs are known for being loyal, but Iowan Nancy Franck had no idea just how loyal her miniature schnauzer was until she was hospitalized.
Sissy is a 10-year-old miniature schnauzer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa who ran away from home for the first time.
Running away is out of character for the tiny pooch, but she needed to see her "mom" Nancy Franck.
Sissy ran nearly 20 blocks from home to Mercy Medical Center, where Nancy was staying for cancer treatments.
Even she can't believe Sissy had the courage and knew where to find her, Nancy says, “That was great just being able to see her. That was perfect. I’m glad she thought of it.”
Check out this security footage captured at the hospital, showing Sissy bravely entering the facility.
