Just to be clear, and so that I get this off my chest: I hate it when my underground artists get popular all of a sudden. Not because I'm jelous of their success or any nonsense of that sort. Because afterwards, their music gets shitty. They lose their way, and their core values. Their music becomes more about getting the dollar, than writing something lyrical. For one of my recent favorite hip-hop artists, Macklemoore, the jury is still out.
This man has some skill. He can throw a sick rhyme, and then surprise you doing double time.
Not only that, but the entirety of his music is based on the ANTI-Pop scene. He's never rapped about his bling, or his money, he doesn't give a shit about materialism.

Hence why I fell in love with him.
I think he wrote a song in Iamb at some point. Mofo has some serious skill.
He mocks mainstream.
He's a simple man. DGAF about fashion. In fact, his break out big time song (which made it to billboards top 100 and claimed the #1 spot) was about getting his stuff at the thrift shop. Awesome.
He's a bit of a feminist
He's totally for gay rights.
His lyrics are structurally complex and meaningful. Flourishing with vibrant imagery.
He's a hard worker.
So I suppose it's the culmination of all these qualities...
that make him an extremely attractive human for me.
but then again, I've never been much of a materialist.
Nor was I into any of the fancy aesthetics, or fabrications society deems "beautiful"
Yup. I'm going to go with Macklemoore being attractive.
Not by his looks (although he does look physically attractive).
But because he is a bad ass.
Attitude. Smarts. Skill.
This is fucking awesome.
