We can't get enough of Ebon Heath and his awesome talents with typography. The Brooklyn-based artist finds all kinds of new things to do with the letters of the world. In this unique collection of jewelry, Heath collaborated with Dubai-based jewelry designer Mona Ibrahim to create an ornamental collection that can be worn by everyone. The sculpted letters are both English and Arabic in the form of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that display a universal language. Individuals can wrap themselves in these beautiful messages that are formed out of laser cut leather and acrylics and ponder Heath's proposed question: "If we adorn ourselves with positive mantras of words, how does that give us reminders of things to value and keep dear?"
In reference to the collaboration of Heath and Ibrahim, the project states, "Together their combined knowledge of graphic design and accessories has created a beautiful and meaningful collection of typographic jewelry that transcends the traditional." Considered body art, the pieces were inspired by Arabic calligraphy and portray a very similar visual language to Heath's Typography Sculptures, but on a smaller scale.
