Probably every beginner in photography has a bunch of long exposure shots of in his portfolio – usually of a pretty city panorama at night. Although most of us are familiar with the method, Finnish photographer Janne Parviainen took this technique to a whole different level, by tracing the whole room with a single LED light.
Before you ask, Parviainen assures you first thing on his website: all the pictures are straight from the camera, with no extra editing done. The artist says that one picture takes around half hour to make, for the exposure has to be open as long as it takes to trace all the objects in the frame (at night!).
“You know you are totally and utterly mad when you are tracing a whole room with one LED alone in the middle of the night,” says Janne.
