As Bryan Adam’s famous declared in his song ‘The Summer of 69′

That summer seemed to last forever

Those were the best days of my life”
He probably wasn’t wrong. It was a fascinating period in America, which saw not only the Woodstock Festival capture the imagination of music fans the world over, but it was also the year the US landed on the moon. Both of those highlights were tempered with the Stonewall riots and the grizzly Manson murders that whipped celebrities into a frenzy of panic.
