Barack Obama (arguably the world’s most powerful individual in the free world) has just been re-elected only a few weeks ago – but back in the 1900′s discrimination and racism were not only prevalent, they were accepted. Widely available for purchase during that era, these vintage valentine’s day cards promoted racial stereotypes all in the name of fun. Today, they are seen as promoting nothing more than prejudice and racism, proof that each day we’re making progress in the battle for equality for all.
