Music has a special collective unconscious feel to it. Once you connect with an artist, it's kind of like you are attached through an invisible, magical, umbilical cord. Yup. For realz.
It is both a visceral and spiritual connection. And when your favorite artist, or band sells out, it's a terrible loss.

You were their biggest fan
You knew all their songs, played them on every instrument, and you basically part of the band.
You went to all their local shows. You've seen them at their literal worst.
You make your best friend listen. Now they're hooked too.
They were a hidden gem that only you and your best friend new about.
And they have a new album coming out!!!!!
And then you hear their new album....
and you feel betrayed!
You turn into a sad cynic since everyone eventually sells out for money. Everyone has a price. Somehow, you thought this artist would be different. WRONG!
you hear their new song on the radio
and EVERYONE loves it
Everyone is all like, "oh em gee, did you hear?!"
Nope. No. Nuh uh
You find out that this might be the most successful album the band has ever made.
You want it all to stop because it feels like a nightmare.
Oh well. Looks like you'll just have to dance to their old stuff the next time you hear them in concert. Hopefully.
And try to ignore the crappy new stuff
Plus there is always a new local band to fall in love with right around the corner.
Like these guys! Oh wait.....>=[ nevermind. Slipknot is already ruined.
Time to listen to Culoaboca!
