Syria has deleted itself from the Internet today with a shut down that has no been explained. Here's what happened:
The AP is reporting that activists, at least, are accusing the government of blocking both Internet and cell phone signals in Damascus.
It has previously cut both phone lines and Internet access in areas where regime forces have conducted major military operations.
Nobody knows exactly who did it or how it happened. The people of Syria now have no choice but to live without communication of any kind.
