Jesus Is Everywhere!
27 feb 2013 11:27
There are 2 laws that define the Internet. 1. You’ll be amazed at how much free time people have on their hands. 2. You’ll be amazed at what they will do with that time. That goes a long way into explaining the new Tumblr sensation that is “Jesus Everywhere” a blasphemous (?) series of Photoshopped images of The Messiah in hilarious every day situations and scenarios. I have to admit it did give me a chuckle and it’s all in good jest, so if you’re religious in any way, please don’t be offended.

49ers Trade Alex Smith To The Chiefs
27 feb 2013 11:16
The Kansas City Chiefs Acquired QB Alex Smith from the SF 49ers in exchange for a 2nd round pick in the 2013 draft as well as a conditional pick in the 2014 draft that can be as high as another 2nd round pick. In My opinion the Chiefs gave up way to much for a QB with one foot out of the door and someone who is a game manager not a game changer. The Chiefs new coach Andy Reid must feel really high on Alex smith to give up this much for the 49ers back up QB. I'm Sure the Fans of the AFC West Love the Trade. The Chiefs are still a Mess and I don't think Alex smith is the answer. Smith is a check down QB with little Arm Strength. I dint expect any team to give up more than a 4th rounder for the 49ers back up QB. Way to go 49ers for pulling this trade off. Sorry Chiefs fans but I think you will be Regretting this trade.

Massive Bird Nests on Telephone Poles
27 feb 2013 09:35
In the Kalahari Desert, South Africa, a native bird called the Sociable Weaver Bird constructs massive nests that, from a distance, looks like a giant haystack that's fallen into a tree. The foundation of these nests are often trees or a utility pole such as the ones that carry telephone wires. Over these the birds create a frame with larger sticks and then build walls from dry grasses to form individual rooms, and line each chamber of the nest with softer grasses and fibers. Sharp spikes of straw protect the entrance tunnels from predators. These nests are the largest built by any bird, and are large enough to house over a hundred pairs of birds. Some sociable weaver nests have remained occupied for several generations spanning over 100 years.

Artist Transforms Landfills Into Beautiful Chinese Landscapes
27 feb 2013 09:24
Photographer Yao Lu captures images of heaps of garbage covered in green protective netting and digitally manipulates them to look like a beautiful, mountainous expanse inspired by traditional Chinese landscape paintings. Yao's New Landscapes series manages to transform said garbage dumps with a few additions of carefully placed animals, ancient architecture, mist, waterfalls, and foliage. It's only upon close inspection that one actually notices the true nature (or lack thereof) of the landscape—a wide stretch of landfills.

Cambodian Fried Spiders
27 feb 2013 07:13
Fried spider is a regional delicacy in Cambodia. In the Cambodian town of Skuon (Cheung Prey, Kampong Cham Province), the vending of fried spiders as a specialty snack is a popular attraction for tourists passing through this town. The spiders are bred in holes in the ground in villages north of Skuon, or foraged for in nearby forestland, and fried in oil. It is not clear how this practice started, but some have suggested that the population might have started eating spiders out of desperation during the years of Khmer Rouge rule, when food was in short supply.
