Civil servant Amanda Warrington, from Yate near Bristol, spent 17 months and a staggering 1,000 hours completing the whopping 24,000–piece puzzle. The 50-year-old then cut the two-stone puzzle into quarters and stuck it on the wall using extra-strong adhesive. The mural — called Life: The Great Challenge — was the biggest in the world when Amanda’s sister bought it for her from a specialist internet supplier.

Designed to help breed endangered species, the park has seen some 20,000 creatures born within its borders—including 120 rhinoceroses—since it opened in 1972. Many of the zoo's younger residents hang out at the Petting Kraal.

A haboob is a type of intense dust storm carried on an atmospheric gravity current. Haboobs occur regularly in arid regions throughout the world. This wall of dust can be up to 100 km (62 mi) wide and several kilometers in elevation. At their strongest, haboob winds often travel at 35–100 km/h (~20–60 mph), and they may approach with little or no warning. Often rain does not appear at ground level as it evaporates in the hot, dry air (a phenomenon known as virga).

V magazine, an American glossy, invited Valeria Lukyanova (Amatue) to an interview and photoshoot in New York City. Valeria, who became an internet sensation when she began posting pictures of herself online, resembles a living doll and spends a lot of time perfecting the look.

Joel Tjinjelaar is a fine art photographer specializing in black and white long exposure photography. An IT Project Manager by trade, Joel studied criminal law but always dreamt of being an architect. Through photography, Joel has found a nice substitute for an unfulfilled dream. Inspired by greats like Gehry and Calatrava, Joel wants to photograph all of the great architecture in the world.

People love photographing animals. Whether it be their pets or an animal spotted in the wild, we’re always snapping pics of our furry friends. Sometimes, we manage to capture them in mid-stride or jump, and it’s these frozen moments in time that can create the illusion of ‘hovering’ or ‘flying’. The Internet has well documented this phenomena, in fact there are entire websites dedicated to it!

It all started with the picture above. A friend had emailed photographer Pieter Hugo this bizarre image taken on a cellphone in Lagos, Nigeria. The caption read, ‘The Streets of Lagos’, and a newspaper publishing the photo reported that the men were bank robbers, body guards, drug dealers and debt collectors.

A hoarder in the United States was recently reported for having over 160 ducks, geese, turkeys and chickens living on her property in appalling conditions. While the hoarder’s initial intentions were good, her neglect and mental health issues created an unsuitable and unsanitary environment for these animals.
