Neil Alden Armstrong (August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012) was an American Astronaut and the first person to walk on the moon. Before becoming an astronaut Neil Armstrong served in the navy in the Korean war. After the war he earned his degree at Perdue University. He started off as a test pilot while in school and eventually completed is graduate studies at the university of California.
