These days there are tons of celebrities competing for attention in the media every day and as bad is it sounds, sometimes we simply forget some of them are still out there. While some older celebrities do a great job of reminding us they are still alive, it can be quite difficult to stay relevant well into your 90s, or even earlier than that. 14. Dick Van Dyke – 90 years old
At 90 years old, Dick Van Dyke has pretty much done all there is to do in the entertainment industry. He is an actor, a comedian, a singer, a dancer, a writer, and a producer who has been an entertainer for nearly 70 years. He has starred in classic movies such as Mary Poppins, Bye Bye Birdie, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He also had his own television series The Dick Van Dyke Show, and starred in the series Diagnosis: Murder. Van Dyke has won five Emmy Awards and a Grammy and Tony Award as well. He was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild’s Life Achievement Award. He also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7021 Hollywood Blvd. Van Dyke is also an official Disney Legend.
13. Angela Lansbury – 90 years old
Angela Lansbury was born in London on October 16th, 1925. She moved to the United States at the beginning of WWII, where she studied acting. She signed with MGM in 1942 and starred in feature films such as Gaslight, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and The Manchurian Candidate. She is well known for starring as Jessica Fletcher in the detective TV series Murder, She Wrote. Lansbury has taken home six Golden Globe Awards and five Tony Awards. In 2014 she received an Honorary Award from the Academy Awards, and she has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for both Motion Picture and Television.
12. Jimmy Carter – 91 years old
Technically the oldest current living President of the United States goes to George H.W. Bush, who was born on June 12, 1924. Even though Jimmy Carter is about four months younger than Bush, he finished his time in office eight years before Bush started his. The President who lived the longest was Gerald Ford at 93 years and 165 days, so both of these guys have a shot chance at passing that mark. Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of the United States and started his only term in 1977. He was a peanut farmer before serving as a member of the Georgia Senate and the Governor of Georgia. Carter received a Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for working with the Carter Center. He was diagnosed with melanoma in 2015, but later that year he announced that he was cancer-free.
11. Bob Barker – 92 years old
Bob Barker became a household name for hosting the long running TV game show The Price Is Right. He hosted the show for 35 years and became the longest running daytime game show host in the history of North American television. Barker also hosted the game show Truth or Consequences from 1956 to 1974. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and hosted The Bob Barker Show on radio for six years. He became an animal rights advocate after his wife Dorothy Jo passed away. After celebrating his 50-year television career, Barker retired in 2007. He has taken home 19 Emmy Awards and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Barker was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame and was named the Greatest Game Show Host of All-Time by Time Magazine.
10. Bob Dole – 92 years old
Bob Dole was a long time Senator from Kansas, serving from 1969 to 1996. He also holds the distinction of being the Republican Party nominee for Vice President in 1976, and for President in 1996. Dole received two Purple Hearts for his service in the United States Army and earned two degrees. He also served in the U.S. House of Representatives, as the Chairman of the Republican National Committee and the Senate Finance Committee, and as the Senate Minority and Senate Majority Leader. Bob’s wife is former North Carolina Senator, United States Secretary of Labor, and United States Secretary of Transportation Elizabeth Dole.
9. Stan Lee – 93 years old
Stan Lee is the creative genius behind some of the most popular comic book characters of all time. He has been the president and chairman of Marvel Comics and co-created such characters as Iron Man, the Hulk, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and Thor. Lee has been inducted into both the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame, and he also was awarded a National Medal of Arts. He authored his graphic novel autobiography Amazing Fantastic Incredible Stan Lee in 2015 and the book was a The New York Times #1 bestseller. He is still going strong, having hosted Stan Lee’s Superhumans from 2010 to 2014.
8. Monty Hall – 94 years old
Monty Hall is best known for hosting the TV game show Let’s Make a Deal, and he is still alive at 94 years old. Hall is also an actor, producer, sportscaster, and singer among the many hats that he has worn over his life. He started his career in radio and hosted the game show Strike It Rich on CBS. Hall worked as a radio analyst for the NHL’s New York Rangers before moving to California and getting his gig on Let’s Make a Deal. Since CBS revived the game show in 2009 he has made several appearances and is credited as a Creative Consultant. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1973 and is one of just three game show hosts who are on Hollywood and Canada’s Walks of Fame (the other two being Jeopardy!’s Alex Trebek, and Deal or No Deal’s Howie Mandel.)
7. John Glenn – 94 years old
At 94 years young, John Glenn has had a very eventful life. He is perhaps best known for being the first American to orbit the Earth and for his contributions as an astronaut. Glenn was also an aviator for the Marine Corps and was a United States Senator from Ohio from 1974 to 1999. He was part of NASA’s Mercury Seven group of military test pilots who became the first American astronauts. He flew the Friendship 7 mission in 1962 and also became the fifth person in space. In 2013 he became the last surviving member of that group when Scott Carpenter passed away. He would go on to become the oldest person to fly in space when he flew on Discovery mission STS-95 at 77 years old.
6. Nancy Reagan – 94 years old
Nancy Reagan is well known for being both an actress and the First Lady of the United States. She held that title from 1981 to 1989 while her husband Ronald Reagan served as the 40th President of the United States. Even though her husband Ronald lived to the age of 93, he passed away in 2004 leaving Nancy widowed. At 94, she has now lived to be older than he was. Before marrying Ronald in 1952, Nancy Davis was a Hollywood actress who starred in movies such as The Next Voice You Hear…, Donovan’s Brain, and Night Into Morning. Nancy earned criticism for replacing the china in the White House and engaged in a war on drugs with her “Just Say No’ campaign. She is the second oldest First Lady to Bess Truman who lived to be 97 years and-some-odd days old.
5. Betty White – 94 years old
Betty White is probably the most active celebrity on this list, frequently appearing on talk shows and hosting the reality series Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and Betty White’s Smartest Animals in America well into her 90s. She is a pioneer and was the first woman to produce a sitcom and one of the first women to have control behind the camera as well as in front of it. She has starred in the TV series The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls. She is also known for her game show appearances and has taken home eight Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award. In 2013 White was recognized by Guinness World Records as the female entertainer with the longest television career. In 2010, she became the oldest person to host an episode of SNL.
4. Billy Graham – 97 years old
Billy Graham is one of the best known ministers of all time and he is still alive and kicking at 97 years old. Graham became popular in 1949 and was known for holding large rallies at various venues. Many of his sermons were broadcast on radio and television, and some are still heard to this day. He hosted the series Billy Graham Crusades from 1947 to 2005 when he retired after almost fifty years. He served as a spiritual advisor to several presidents including Eisenhower, Johnson, and Nixon. Graham supported Martin Luther King, Jr. and even bailed him out of jail at one time. He has authored many books including his latest Where I Am: Heaven, Eternity, and Our Life Beyond the Now in 2015.
3. Zsa Zsa Gabor – 98 years old
American actress and socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor was actually born in Budapest in 1917. She was Miss Hungary in 1936 and started her acting career in Vienna before coming to the United States in 1941. One of her best known roles came starring in the 1952 film Moulin Rouge. Gabor became known for being married nine times, including to actor George Sanders and hotel magnate Conrad Hilton. Despite being married so many times, Gabor only gave birth to one child Francesca, who passed away in 2015. Zsa Zsa received a Special Award from the Golden Globes in 1958 for the most glamorous actress, and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6915 Hollywood Blvd.
2. Kirk Douglas – 99 years old
Kirk Douglas will celebrate his 100th birthday later this year. The actor, director, producer, and author is also celebrating the 70th anniversary of his motion picture debut in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers in 1946. He acted for over 60 years and has appeared in nearly 100 films. Douglas received an Honorary Award from the Academy Awards and was nominated three times for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He also won two Golden Globe Awards including Best Actor – Drama for Lust for Life. Kirk Douglas was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6263 Hollywood Blvd. He is also the father of actor Michael Douglas.

David Rockefeller tops the list of celebrities you didn’t realize were still alive at an even 100 years old. He is a member of the famous American Rockefeller family and served as the chief executive and chairman of Chase Manhattan Corporation. At 100 years old David Rockefeller has a net worth of $3.2 billion and is one of the 200 richest people in the world. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and worked his way up the banking industry ladder. The Rockefeller family is considered to be perhaps the most powerful family in the history of the United States.
