New Years Glasses Through the Years

Over the years humanity has developed some really cool ways to celebrate the ringing in of the new year. One of our long heald traditions, at least dating back to 1998, is the New Years Glasses. These are glasses shaped like the number of the year into which we are going.

But has this tradition taken a turn for the worse. You will notice that the glasses worked pretty well through the oughts ('00 or oos for the lame person,) but the premise beings to run thin once we arrive into the year 2010. And quite frankly, I don't think this idea will ever recover. Thoughts?

According to Daily Mail, the Jackpotjoy FUNdation sent a 50 foot yellow duck (aka the “JackpotJoy Duck”) down the River Thames in London as a promotional stunt. The entertainment and games site wanted to announce their new Facebook page in a big way and decided on gaining attention with a large inflated duckie. But this isn't the first time we've spotted a giant yellow duck in the water. Below you can see he's already traveled to other parts of Europe this past year.
