The street artist going by the name of Nychos didn’t have what we’d call a ‘normal’ upbringing. He was born into an Austrian hunting family in South Africa and spent much of his childhood seeing things which many ‘normal’ people would consider cruel or even brutal. For Nychos though, it was a fascinating world. At seven he was bitten by a boar while he was playing in the forest close to home. Just a little while later he had boar meat for lunch. In another instance he saw a dead baby lamb being consumed by maggots the same color as its fur. Instead of being horrified, he was fascinated. He studied the hidden insides of animals and noticed the way life often grows from other life. At the same time he was also a child of the 80s, growing up watching cartoons and being influenced by their flashy bright colors.

Those Golden Arches are looking a little pink sluggish lately after Jamie Oliver, Food Revolution, proved that McDonald's meat recipe is deemed "Unfit for Human Conception". Several years of interviews, tv-shows and demonstrations to help the public. McDonald's in the US has now changed its meat recipe as of 2011 and says it will be out of the system in August of that year. McDonalds doesn't have a world wide standard as Arcos Dorados, McDonalds in Latin America, explains "such a procedure is not practiced in their region." Similar production of "pink slim" does not apply to the product in Ireland and the UK, where they use meat from local suppliers. With photographer Miro Minarovic and art director Jiri Horut, Marek Farkas of Czech Republic created the “Life is Adventure” project as a creative campaign for Hill´s Pet Nutrition. The project’s photos show a puppy and a kitten having (what Farkas calls) “safe adventures” with ordinary household items, all shot from above. Farkas and his team were inspired by the early work of photographer Miro Švolík.

Finnish photographer Kai Fagerström presents unique photo series, where he captures wild animals making themselves comfortable in abandoned houses in the woods of Finland. Titled The House in the Woods, the photo series is set in cottages near Kai’s summer house, which were abandoned by their tenants after the owner of the place died in a fire. Award-winning photographer noticed how the place was slowly being reclaimed by the nature, and what started as a few snapshots, ended up being a book, published in Finnish, German, and English.

As far as dogs go on Instagram, Harlow and Sage aren't quite as popular as Maddie the Coonhound, Muu the French Bulldog, or Norm the Pug. The dynamic duo, however, are starting to get noticed for their photos and videos that capture their priceless expressions or their hilarious outfits. This is Sir Didymus the cat. His person, Tumblr-er sparkysmachine dressed him up like Thor. He looks GOOD. Sparkysmachine insists that even though the kitty looks unhappy, he was all for it due to some catnip on the Mjolnir. Good to know, not that I think Sir Didymus has anything to complain about anyway — Thor is a good guy! One time I dressed up my cat as a villain and he ran away. Sure he came back the next day, looking all hungry and remorseful but you know what? I didn’t let him back in, because you cross me once and — oh God, this was all my fault. I’ve made a mistake. Skittles come back!

What looks like a weirdly crooked panda sniffing the ground, is actually… a leg of a giant anteater! Look closer, and you’ll see its thin snout, tiny eye and one ear right above an astonishing panda-like leg. The illusion is caused by the colors of the anteater’s fur, as its black and white coat forms what looks like panda’s eyes, ears and a nose. What you don’t see are the large claws on each of their paws, which are curled when the anteater walks, and are used while digging through the anthill. Having no teeth, they eat by flicking their tongue up to 160 times per minute, and that way eat as many as 30 000 ants a day! The giant anteaters are the largest ones of the four anteater species, and can be found in different habitats, such as rainforests or grasslands. Unfortunately, the mammal is classified as “vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). That’s gotta be one of our favorite animals as of now!

This is what happens to bacon when you just have way to much or just not enough people to eat it. Moms will always be either furious or proud of those who play with their food. In the past we've seen food faces or spell things in Cheerio's but now its moved onto bacon!

Fish being delivered to a pet store. The fish is placed in small baggies but the baggies each had their own compartment in a styrofoam insert that fit in the box and contain several unchilled ice packs that help to maintain a good temperature within the box. The blue color is from a combination of a light tranquilizer, stress coat, and a medication to help prevent the fish from getting sick.

The long-haired Persian (seen left) is now one and half years old and she's undergone a dramatic change. Despite daily brushings, Daisy's fur would get lots of clumps that were too close to her skin to properly cut off. On the advice of his vet, Torode decided that Daisy needed a haircut. Not just any haircut, of course, but one that had tons of personality!
