Girls That Look Like Skrillex
26 oct 2012 13:09

I can't tell is skrillex looks kind of cute because he has a weird feminine androgynous thing going on for him, or if these girls are hot because they look like skrillex. I don't know. What do you think? Hot or not?

Stunning Mold Photos
25 oct 2012 17:53
There is something disgustingly cool about moldy art food. Seriously. In the (rotting) flesh, mold is a nasty experience, full of self-loathing and disgust. But photographer Heikki Leis has managed to capture the strange beauty of the process in these oddly captivating pictures.

Ever since the 90s double whammy of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and The Borrowers, we've had this latent desire to be miniature. Aside from the constant danger of being trodden on, we'd save a bucketload on food and rent plus get to go anywhere we want without any restrictions. The absurdly talented miniaturist Slinkachu put together these installations to tease us still with the idea that yes, an underground society of little people does actually insist.

Mixteca Erosion
25 oct 2012 17:40
Matt Black is a photographer who searches regions of the world where natural disasters occur most frequently. He captured this area in Mexico called Mixteca, known as the most erroded piece of land, topographically, on earth. He writes and says: "Southern Mexico's Mixteca region is one of the most heavily eroded landscapes on earth: up to five meters of topsoil have been lost. In the town of Santiago Mitlatongo, soil loss triggered a geological phenomenon called "slumping." Like a slow-motion landslide, the town is sliding downhill at the rate of one meter per day, destroying homes and livelihoods as houses and farmland slip into the valley below."

High Octane and a Princess

Vancouver-based Reuters photographer Andy Clark has a long history with motorsport, starting with days he spent as a teenager on darkened summer highways north of Toronto in the late 1960s, riding in muscle cars and drag racing until the wee hours of the morning or until the cops chased him away. With his passion for the sport, Andy has spent his Saturday nights photographing at the Agassiz Speedway. Built in 1970, the speedway is a quarter mile oval track nestled into the side of Agassiz Mountain about 90 minutes east of Vancouver. The track hosts about 12 races a season beginning in April, running to late October. – Paula Nelson

Are these controversial?
25 oct 2012 11:07

As the gaming age increases, advertising video games to adults has become more and more lucrative, and more difficult. Gone are the days when a simple half naked woman or a silly fox in a space suit could call our attention. Now advertising has to cater to adults who have more mature tastes but at the same time have children of their own. Sony took on this idea with the advert campaigns of their PS2 and PS3 consoles and has definitely done something right.

Of course where there is something awesome there are always haters, and these haters found some of the material in the ads controversial. What do you find controversial about these ads?
