There's no end to human creativity. Your house can become something of a museum if you decorate it right. Even such things as bowls can add a funky cool vibe to your living!

A sunken military ship, USNS General Hoyt S.Vandenberg located off the coast of Florida, functions as the first underwater gallery for ghostly photographs of Viennese artist Andreas Franke. "It's like bringing the Vandenberg back to life," Franke said. He took some pictures of the ship with special underwater cameras, then photoraphed models in 1940s and 1950s costumes in his studio, after which he superimposed the model images over the top of the Vandenberg ship, creating an eerie underwater world frozen in time. "It's a huge empty ship with fish swimming around at 27 meters below the surface, the sunlight is this beautiful blue green color. I shot the models in the studio with the same lens, so the images matched." Truly a spectacular approach to art!

There are virtually no limits to creativity the world of literary art. Not only are the creations and sculptures incredibly vivid and dramatic, but the materials they are made out of have their own artistic and intellectual value. Unfortunately books are slowly getting lost in the shuffle with all the digital technology that is taking the world by storm. 

 I wish I was there to see it's opening ceremony, heard it was amazing despite the unstable San Francisco weather. Bay Lights is installed on the north side of the western span of the bridge (attached with 60,000 zip ties) between San Francisco and Yerba Buena Island. The project has been privately funded, and is still raising the final quarter of their $8 Million goal. It is estimated the lights will use only $30 of electricity a day or $11,000 over 2 years.

The International Body-painting Festival was held at Duryu park in Daegu, South Korea on September 1-2nd, 2012. The purple/blue/metallic coloration of this tiny fruit called the Pollia Condensata is the most intense of any known biological material in the world, and is quite mesmerizing. This plant grows in the forest regions of Africa, and has long been used for decorative purposes because of an unusual and intense color properties. The impressive fruits preserve their vibrant colors for many years and even decades after being picked.

In the clever portrait series “Couples,” two models are transformed into a series of very different couples through changes in their hair, clothes & make up. The series is by Madrid-based photographer Nacho Rojo. Pretty cool, check it out.

The DoorBot from design laboratory Edison Junior is a doorbell that streams live video and audio from your front door to an app for iPhone, iPad, or Android. When combined with the Lockitron, users can even remotely lock and unlock their door through the DoorBot app. I want one!

French photographer Romain Laurent has just released a new set of photos called Something Real. It tells a story about an ordinary man walking the streets of New York with a large bubble around his head.

The whimsical portrait series “Tilt” depicts New Yorkers leaning at seemingly impossible angles (either that, or New York itself is tilted). Brooklyn-based photographer Romain Laurent created the series back in 2009.
