Wikipedia says that a Salafi is a Muslim who emphasizes the Salaf or 'ancestors' as the model examples of Islamic practice. While the term has been around since the middle ages, the modern interpretation refers to the followers of Sunni Islamic movement known as Salafiyyah or Salafism. Salafism is associated with literalist, strict and puritanical approaches to Islam and in the west with the Salafi Jihadist who espouse violence as a legitimate expression of Islam.

So of course the Eqyptians made a meme of it and now we have the translations. Some of this is definitely WTF but it makes for a funny read.

An engine driver of the New York subway saw an amazing thing on Thanksgiving Day. The crowd of cheerleaders, there were about 200 of them, stood on the platform waiting for the train. Impressive, isn't it?
