Leonardo the African spurred turtle was rescued from a Bangkok zoo in 2013, while Simon came in January after getting his leg seriously injured. The poor cow was with his mom when he got caught in the vines. Part of one of his hind legs had fallen off due to the accident, and the rescue center got him a prosthetic to help him walk.

Fawn was born in inhumane conditions in a milking stall. Her mother had to give birth standing up, so Fawn fell and injured herself just as she was coming into the world. She developed an infection and couldn't fully walk — she'd just hobble around on her front knees. Eventually Fawn ended up at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, where she was connected with experts at Cornell Veterinary Hospital.
