Long before there was an Internet to satisfy your need to see cats doing adorable things, one photographer had the brilliant idea to capture cute pets acting like people. He didn't know it at the time, but he had started a revolution in pet photography. The charming nature of kittens has truly stood the test of time, and these photos prove it!
Photographer Harry Whittier Frees (1879 -1953) certainly had a way with animals, and has the adorable photos to prove it!
His animal-photo career began in 1906 when he was at a party and a hat fell on a cat's head.
He snapped a photo of the incident and brought it to a postcard printer who quickly sold out of the image. Everyone was in love with the cat acting like a human!
