The world’s largest aquarium is located in Atlanta, Georgia. It houses more than 120,000 animals, representing 500 species in 8.5 million gallons of water. There are 60 different habitats with 12,000 square feet of viewing windows, and it cost $290 million to build. Georgia Aquarium was the result of the vision of one enterprising businessman Bernard Marcus, who dreamed of presenting Atlanta with an aquarium that would encourage both education and economic growth. Marcus was so inspired by aquariums that after visiting 56 of them in 13 countries with his wife, he donated $250 million toward what was to become Georgia Aquarium. Additional $40 million came in as corporate donations. The land was donated by the Coca Cola Company.

Steven J. Backman, a San Francisco native, makes incredible tiny sculptures using only one toothpick, a straight edged razor blade and glue. It all began in elementary school when Steven made a Science project of DNA molecules from ordinary toothpicks and beans. While attending San Francisco State University in the fall of 1984, where Steven later received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Arts, he decided to design a San Francisco cable car for an art project using toothpicks and glue. This was one way in which he knew how to show his appreciation for these mobile historical landmarks. Shortly after, Steven established his toothpick art business named “Landmarks of San Francisco,” which he still presently operates. Steven’s motto, “The Essence of Patience,” truly exemplifies his drive and determination towards creating unique and unforgettable one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Steven feels that making these sculptures is as relaxing as lying on a secluded island at peace with himself and his surroundings. He is truly a perfectionist at heart and takes much pride in his toothpick sculptures.

To inspire you even more, we want to show you some wonderfully executed works taken from A Matter of Taste, a book by an award-winning Italian photographer Fulvio Bonavia showcasing his conceptual photos of food as fashion – corn espadrilles, aubergine slippers, and a tagliatelle belt, for example. What’s interesting is that Bonavia begins his artistic and design sensibilities to each every one of his pictures, doing all of the post-production himself so that his photographs are infused with his vision from start to end. Two creative artists – a photographer Jamie Beck and a motion graphics designer artist Kevin Burg have created a new way of capturing images – pictures with movement, or so-called cinemagraphs. Actually, this is just a fancy name for an animated GIF, but specially designed with an purposeful artistic goal. Kevin and Jamie describe it as: “Something more than a photo, but less than a video”. However, creating a cinemagraph is not as simple as it may look. Some of them took entire day to make, but the results are breathtaking!

After signing a huge contract 2 years ago the Philadelphia Eagles have released CB Nnamdi Asomugha. The Top free agent from two years ago turned out to be a huge bust for the Philadelphia eagles. After signing a 5 year $60 million dollar contract the eagles decided to pull the plug on the 32 year old corner back. Asomugha's recover speed and confidence seem to be slipping and rumors are circulating that he has lost his passion for the game. We will see which team signs him and at how much. Once The highest paid corner Nnamdi is now looking for a job.

The Miami Dolphins spent big money to sign free agent WR Mike Wallace today. The Dolphins agreed to terms with Wallace on a five year $65 million contract that includes $30 Million Guaranteed. Still just 26 years old (he'll turn 27 in August) Wallace owns a career yards per catch average of 17.2 with 32 touchdowns across four seasons. While Wallace's critics will knock him as a straight-line deep threat, he gets into the end zone and that happens to be pretty important in the NFL. Only time will tell if Mike Wallace is a scheme fit with the Dolphins and how well he will play with young QB Ryan Tannehill. The dolphins receiver corps is shaping out to look pretty good in 2013.

German photographer Martin Rietze caught a series of spectacularly breathtaking shots of a volcano, shrouded in flying lava and electrifying lightning, erupting in southern Kyushu, Japan. Rietze's photography displays Sakurajima Volcano's energetic eruption with unexpected vigor.
