When Jennifer Lawrence sat down with David Letterman Thursday, he procured a paparazzi photo of her in a bikini so that she could "answer" for her saggy butt. JLaw claimed that the offending derrière was an impostor: "It's not my butt and I will not take responsibility for it. It's a 90-year-old butt that's been photoshopped onto my body, and is posing as my butt." Yeah, that's called sarcasm you guys. Fucken ehy!

Beyonce's spectacular performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at President Barack Obama's inauguration Monday was too good to be true. The songstress did indeed lip-synch the words to the national anthem, Kristin DuBois, a representative for the United States Marine Band, told the New York Post.

People have been giving Beyonce a lot of grief lately because of her whole, lip syncing thing at the inauguration. But you know what? Beyonce is fabulous and amazing, and you ingrates need to be reminded of this simple fact. Like for example:

If there’s one thing Tumblr is good for, it’s single-serving microblogs that are Kanye West-related portmanteaux . First, there was Kanye Wes Anderson, and now we have Kanye West Wing. This is a fairly self-explanatory activity — photos of pretty young women are juxtaposed with photos of them looking pretty awful. Interestingly, many of these Reddit submissions come from the young ladies themselves. Why they do this isn’t obvious. Perhaps it’s that timing is everything? To show that they’re pretty and, well, some version of funny? Whatever their motivation, there’s no denying that these transformations are certainly spectacular, if nothing else.

This year, racers in the Dakar Rally are more than halfway through their 8,000-mile journey. Though Richard Heeks first caught the world's attention when he captured the exact moment when a bubble bursts (see Reflection Perfect, immediately below), you'd be surprised to find out that the Huddersfield, UK-based photographer actually got into photographing soap bubbles for a completely different reason. Inspired by a scene in the movie Blade Runner, where there's a close-up shot of the human eye with fire reflected on the pupil and iris, Heeks decided he wanted to try his hand at photographing reflections in the eyes. One day, however, that all changed. He just so happened to blow soap bubbles and noticed how strangely beautiful the reflections appeared. "I got kind of obsessed with trying to photograph the reflections and trying all kinds of different bubble mixtures and photography techniques," he tells us.

Freelance photographer Jared Tyler is another promising teen—like Alex Stoddard, Brian Oldham, and Nicholas Scarpinato—with a creative outlook on the world. Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where the 19-year-old attends Western Michigan University, Tyler finds an artistic and emotional outlet in his expressive photography. The young photographer manages to capture the essence of his varied sentiments in life without saying a word.

The City Series is a collection of wooden sculptures by designer James McNabb that mimics the skyscrapers that make up the New York City skyline. The Philadelphia-based artist uses a band saw to skillfully "sketch" his model metropolises, carving into separate scraps of wood and assembling them together to represent an eclectic mix of buildings.

Paper artist Sarah Trumbauer illustrates and creates original papercuts inspired by fairy tales. Equipped with only a few simple tools (acid-free paper and an X-Acto knife), the artist uses her own designs to meticulously carve out intricate patterns and silhouettes of enchanting scenes that are both familiar and new. The whimsical hand-cut cast of characters include young girls interacting with nature and its inhabiting creatures.
